- We went over to Malibu, CA which is home to Pepperdine University and their AMAZING athletic facilities. We toured their locker room, weight room, stadium, and then enjoyed an EPIC game vs. Saint Mary's College. This place is outstanding, and for beach lovers and athletes alike, Pepperdine could make for a pretty dope school. Malibu and baseball make a pretty sweet combo, don't you think? HOPE YOU ENJOY! 🔥🌊

That home plate umped sucked. I hate it when umps call a batter out on the HBP like that. That’s such a hard judgement call to make most the time.
Maybe his elbow was over the plate?
i agree, you never know what pitch the batter read out of the hand. great example is when trout got hit in the elbow with a heater last year but he said he thought it was a slider so he tried to keep his front side closed and ended up getting drilled
That was Landis, they caught it on stream. He leaned a bit into it but not over the plate. Also every pitcher in the luege for some weird reason throws at him intentionally. Literally went to a peperdine game in USD and they threw at him every game.

I played at Chicago State.. we had a 4 game series against Pepperdine in 2009.. We were HORRIBLE that year..
We had played San Jose St a few days before and got blown out 34-1..
Pepperdine was #12 in the nation if I remember correctly.. We beat them the 2nd game of the series.. Probably one of the biggest wins in Chicago State's program history. I still have the pictures from playing on that field.

Don't get me wrong the field and area is incredible but I'd rather have mountains like BYU in the background of the outfield cause when it is ocean you cant even see it, you just see sky from field level.
