Absolutely LOVE them. When I saw your last video the first thing I thought was that they're just begging to be filled with resin! :)
Hehe I'm happy that you like it :) yes they do look amazing even better in real life :)
Very Nice Ornaments
Thanks:)

Kedaron bonitas 🇲🇽🙋👍
to flatten the tape down use a wallpaper edge roller hopefully take the kinks out
That's a good tip thanks I'll try that next time:)
With a better design those would be great coasters.
Coasters that's a great idea :)
I used duct tape and that didn’t ripple it stayed nice and flat
I appreciate ALL of the work you did to help others out...they came out SO nice! Imagine, with Christmas lights behind them? Wow!
Maybe, if you used thicker tape for the backing, it might stop the ripples? When using epoxy for jewlery, you tape off the back with a much thicker tape, so maybe that will help you? However, your end results are just stunning! 🥰
Thank you, Yes that's true with the tape
Very nice :) ॐ
Thanks😁
Great idea. How do you keep the epoxy color from bleeding into the wood?
I got lucky I think 😉 on this occasion. Haven't done anything
Instead of using cello tape on the back, glue cantact paper to a flat board. (glue non sticky side to board) Then remove backing to expose sticky side of contact paper. Press scrolled wood to contact paper. This will eliminate the wavy resin on back side when pouring resin.
Good tip thanks
@@CasualDIY Oh, I forgot to mention. don't use to much glue to glue contact paper to wood or you will have to pry your work off. Use a very temporary glue for that like the rub on stick kind.
These are beautiful man, I really like them.
Thanks mate glad you like it:)
what kind of paste is that?
Can you drop me time stamp please?

@@miamited69 it's called Yorkshire grit abrasive paste 👍
Good project and nice videography. The first question I have is why use CLEAR tape? So you are now warning both parts of the resin? Yorkshire grit on bare wood! Nice one... love the blue snow flakes, all colours.
Glad you liked the video :) why clear tape, because that's what I had. Used grey tape and it was difficult to take off. Used carpenters tape and the epoxy leaked. There is a special tape you can use ( can't remember the name of it ) but it cost a fortune comparing to the tape I used and the results won't be that much different. Second question - yes both as when I'm recording my videos I can't turn on my heater as it's too loud so it was very cold in my garage hence I warmed both. Yes Yorkshire grit it is a blend of grinding bits but also waxes and mineral oil everything that the wood needs ;)
Although I hate christmas deco this is awesome and inspiring!
Hehe what holidays do you like lol hehe
Great video tomasz they look awesome mate
Thanks mate
I was hoping you would fill them with resin! Looks good. Love the deep red, blue and green colours.
Thanks yes they seemed perfect for it :)
@@CasualDIY happy with the einhell saw? Thinking about buying one or something similar.
@@Dutchshedwoodshop no mate it's rubbish don't waste your money. Managed to get it amended so I could use the pinless blades and that improved my work a lot. But this machine has some bad vibrations.
@@CasualDIY thanks for your honest reply! I will look further haha 👌
@@Dutchshedwoodshop no problem mate. I will never recomend something I personally not happy with.
Thank you for sharing - absolutely gorgeous. Can you please clarify what is the product that you use to give it a sheen? I heard something like Yorkshire ...?
Yorkshire grit👍
@@CasualDIY many thanks keep safe
Will this also work with wood slices if they are sanded flat?
Should do👍
I wonder if you could place parchment paper / wax paper underneath - if it'd help? x
Tried wax paper and it was very difficult to get it off :/
@@CasualDIY I wonder if a silicone baking mat would work? x
@@Sooz3112 hmm potentially
Thank You for your video.
Glad you liked it 😁
Impressive woodwork as always. The epoxy is mesmerising. I particularly love the crimson and the blue colours - could you tell me which ones you used please? x
All my supplies for epoxy come from metalclay.co.uk the only thing I got from Amazon were the alcohol inks - amzn.to/2SBpC5T
@@CasualDIY Thanks, could you let me know the colour name please? x
@@Sooz3112 crimson was normal red resin dye plus blood red mica powder. The blue was again normal blue resin dye plus sky blue mica powder and glow in the dark blue powder. To one of the blues I also mixed in gold alcohol ink.
Great job, can you please tell me what was the bottle you emptied in the glass, before adding the colors
Resin, it's epoxy resin .
Thank you for watching 👍😁
@@CasualDIY thank you, i want this christmas to be very special for my family, i hope i can manage with this project, it' a real challenge for me
