Im so confused. You said in the beginning that we are 'watching somi's downfall ' but then you end the video with saying she'll be fine even if she may have lost some fans. You send very confusing messages and it makes me hesitant to trust anything you say because it sounds extremely dramatized at the expense of the idol.

Google it she achieves so many great deals and stuff but people always seeing the bad way lol jealousy in everywhere. Keep going Jeon Somi you're great and having a strong mental!
something i've seen a lot from fans towards Jeon Somi, and more recently, Le Sserafim's Huh YunJin, is that they are giving hate towards these idols for drinking Starbucks drinks, now, although I myself personally agree with the boycotts of Starbucks and other companies due to the Israel and Palestine conflict, and I actively go out of my way to avoid these companies, I will not force my beliefs on to others, just because Somi and YunJin have consumed Starbucks beverages, it does not give people the right to hate on them, as we all have a choice on what to do, and not to do, like I mentioned, I personally avoid Starbucks and other companies on the boycott list, but I will never tell people to do the same as it is their choice on whether they choose to partake in the boycotts or not, all the people giving hate to these idols, or any others for drinking Starbucks are in the wrong, as they are forcing their beliefs onto other people, when EVERYONE has a choice, just because someones choice doesn't align with your own choices, it is no reason to hate on them.
Somi really has done nothing wrong, and I really hope some people realize that. K-pop Idols are humans, they'll make mistakes, and people just need to understand that; sooner than later.
I know the scab behind this channel is so excited to be able to talk about Somi's "downfall" and will never ever EVER acknowledge what nonsense it was.
The whole thing of "Boycott X brand because of Y bad thing" and expecting others to do the same feels ridiculous to me. I'm sure 99% of the people who get mad over these thing, also indulge in a ton of other things from brands who do morally questionable or even inexcusable things for the production of their products. How many of the people who got upset about the Starbucks thing, wrote negative comments from their Iphones, that were probably produced under terrible labour conditions, while wearing clothes that were made in sweat shops around the world, as they also eat meat that was made through animal cruelty. The fact is, it is near impossible to avoid indirectly supporting these kinds of things. You can try all you want, but there will always be products you don't realize are produced unethically. And expecting everyone else to be aware of these things, and actively cut them out of their lives completely, is just ridiculous. If you want to cut out certain brands because of your morals, that is completely fine. If you want to make posts, encouraging others to do the same, then go right ahead. But don't expect others to do the same, and don't bash them for not doing the same. Then you just sound like an insufferable douche. It's like if a religious person tries to condemn you for not being part of their religion, or when a vegan throws a fit at you for eating meat. We all have different morals and lines that we will and won't cross.
Yesterday, I saw a video on tik tok with text "Lets boycott kpop. Not just the main 4 (i guess big3 groups + bts)...." They want to boycott the whole genre because idols dont speak about palestine.

How else we would be fighting against these companies who send billions to the IDF to manufacture bombs to drop on gaza??! Unless you don’t care about the thousands of civilians dying then shit, go ahead sis & drink up that bloody coffee all you want
I think that it’s not that Somi is controversial it’s that Kpop fans are sensitive, delusion, and quickly jump to conclusions. If you haven’t noticed MOST of the controversy that surrounds an idol OFTEN stems and starts from an “offended” fan. Then everyone jumps on the train without substance. KPOP is going downhill and it’s not because of the companies or idols it’s because of the fans. Fans are probably the most toxic yet supportive thing in the world and it’s very weird to witness.
Sadly, some people just have to be constantly offended by something or someone, just be yourself and for the majority that will be enough, trying to please everyone is an impossible task.

Additionally, Starbucks publicly staying nuetral is not "supporting a genocide" and people buying products from there are not "supporting a genocide" either. Not to JYP tho, JYP is doing fine with ITZY & NMIXX. The only one who made a mistake here was Somi because going to YG or BL nowadays is the worst thing any idol can do. YG and all of its child labels have been falling from grace for quite some years now. Even their own loyal artists are leaving them.

The video is just a waste of time. Also, do you really think idols aren’t drinking Starbucks off camera? It’s so dumb. Idols these days are criticized for looking in a particular direction or blinking. They are human beings. ALL of us, even idol, make mistakes and are learning as we live. THe company will tell them what to sing and how to sing it.
So that makes it okay? It's still bad that they're drinking it off-camera but the fact that she's publicly advertising it and showing the world that she just supported a genocide is mind-blowing. It's even more mindblowing that you are defending this like its nothing that thousands of children and people are dying in Gaza.
@@Hanna-sr1mq I never said that it makes it “okay”. I’m simply stating that many idols do things “we wouldn’t expect” when the cameras aren’t rolling. But do you really think idols won’t have coffee anymore when they’re running on a couple hours of sleep? Also, drinking or not drinking Starbucks won’t make any difference in what’s going on in the world. You really think just because someone gets a coffee makes them criminals who support genocide? You should care for all of them and not just choose one people you “support” and turn a blind eye to the others.

The cultural appropriation that Somi did in that video was extremely try hard and is exactly what BP does. BP does exactly this type of cringy CA style and with the black sent. When ppl was saying that she copied Lisa I was laughing bc YG artists do the same things . In real life they don’t act like that.
Ok well, a lot of us, as fans have to remember that WE CANNOT FORCE someone to be on our side nor choose sides. Politically speaking, we cannot interfere with the mindset of any artist just as we ask for thinking just freely about almost anything. It was her choice to promote the brand but we also have to remember that she as an artist sometimes she’s forced to do some things. If she was an independent artist then ok, you may ask her for refraining from doing things but still it’s her decision. But she’s under a company and she has to obey lots of rules even though for other things she can speak freely though. She’s a normal person just like us and she also make mistakes, you can’t force someone to tell “sorry” if they don’t really want to and I bet she didn’t mean to not say sorry at all, she might directly didn’t say it but she actually apologized for it in her own way and with her own words.
maybe u and ppl u surround urself with don't care enough about ppl's lives, but that's not "Everyone". hence the major loss starbucks got the past year.
It's the international stans canceling her for that. Because *obviously* a Korean-Canadian artist living in Korea should know about an American-led boycott against the American Starbucks company. lol.
just because she deleted a video doesn’t mean she realizes her mistakes. her “apology” during live sucked. she’s also very active on social media so she probably knows what’s going on
She is not obligated by anyone to boycott Starbucks. She does not owe anyone anything she can do what she wants. Her comments about Teddy Park are pretty much true, he did make those groups. I mean sure there’s some talent involved, but if it wasn’t for him, they would’ve never made it to where they did. And she doesn’t have to apologize for anything that she said she can say whatever she wants about her label mates or about herself. I certainly hope that she can come back from this. Unfortunately, it’s the fans who tend to destroy peoples careers like this.
Why cant people just leave other people alone like you cant force someone to stop buying starbucks just because you dont like it, like stop forcing your ideas on other people.
Ironically I know Somi is gonna watch this video and read the comments here because she's chronically online and Kookielit is infamous lmao. Somi never did anything wrong.... She is just a cute, chill and funny person and people should grow up and not be as judging. Maybe it wasn't clever to use a Starbucks cup in her Tiktok but whatever? She did not mean anything by it. There will always be haters somewhere. U don't have to know Somi well to realize that she just wanna have fun and so on and that she never talks bad about other ppl intentionally. Every single bad-talker regarding Somi or others should think about themselves : Did u never do anything silly without thinking much about it? Really never ever? I don't like every single song from Somi but most of them. She is a diva. Unique. Has her own style and so far she isn't manipulated by the show business as most others are.
Ridiculous... what is wrong with some of the audience? There is *nothing* wrong with Somi, not then, not now... It is the world that has changed: everything needs to be within the personal liking of each and every individual. There is only one Jeon Somi... for me, she is still a top number one multi-talented star. It seems people just can't handle the complexity and then take it out on Somi. Unfair! She deserves more love back.
1:04 Complaining about Fast Forward trying to be a TIKTOK song and sounding out dated, yet that is the literally the trend of last year. Everybody was trying to go for a nostalgic sound. New Jeans literally did all of this since their conception. Triple S. Kiss of Life. Like everybody was going for throwback sounds and trying to get TIKTOK challenges.
Some people aren't happy unless they are trying to bring other people down and wreck their careers. Their lives must be pretty miserable if they spend their free time attcking a 20 something woman for things like ”Yay they like Me" and for her company using animation that looks similar to other existing animation. She is not responsible for that, neither is she responsible for the songs she is given for her album or the costumes of her music videos. Those are company decisions not her personal choices and everyone knows it. She is just another target for online trolls and SJKBWs. Its a shame that people continue to bully young women despite the tragic consequences that have akready taken place. I hoped after Sulli and Goo Hara, things might change for the better but sadly not. Infact things continue to get more and more toxic and young entertainers are attacked qithout mercy because some hateful people cannot stand the fact that someone is beautiful, talented and successful while they are not. Their need to attack and hurt someone they do not know, says everything about the type of person they are and its not a good look. I am truly sick of these toxic Netizens. They really are a plague on society. The world would be a far happier and nicer one without their hatred, jealousy and negativity.
Lets not forget that these people going around cancelling celebrities constantly would also be cancelled if their life was broadcasted to the public. Nobody is perfect. Everyone is going to make missteps. Everyone is going to say something mean or out of line. Everyone is going to make a dark joke every once in a while. Are these people offended that the game Cards Against Humanity exists? They need to stop holding everyone else to a higher standard than themselves. Everyone is going to make mistakes. As for the cultural appropriation, I think its more a case of cultural appreciation being interpreted as some kind of mockery. There are so many beautiful cultures, clothing and hair is something we humans use to express ourselves. Liking and wanting to wear braids and stuff shouldn't be something that gets someone cancelled. Being outwardly racist and disregarding these cultures all together is the racist thing.
honestly, those who say fast forward is outdated (just like every song that doesn't follow the 2023 anti-drop chorus pattern) simply live in a kpop bubble and have never heard any EDM music. EDM is a genre, and every song is basically like fast forward, I know many songs with THE SAME structure... so what Somi did is an EDM song, but since pop singers used to make songs like that a while ago, people think its outdated (for a pop singer, yes, but so what?). People act like from 2017 below there were no good songs, we always have to be innovating... then why is everybody remixing old songs? oh yeah, maybe some people want to listen to the -2017 songs and that's fine, but kpop stans could never accept that, you HAVE to be doing the newest trends, otherwise your song is "bad" But I really wonder why they didn't hate le sserafim's Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeards Wife, the beat is a similar style

Watching this video (for the alleged fan-facts) and then seeing these comments only reinforces my view of the newer gens. The music isn't bad, but people have made it a life purpose to point out any flaw (and even where none exists, they invent some), to create drama. How bored are you in your vapid little tiktok doom-scrolling lives to tear down someone living their dream. Get a life and do something with it. Enjoy things or not, not because you watched some tart on UA-cam "react" (most of the time fake) to things. That part
something i've seen a lot from fans towards Jeon Somi, and more recently, Le Sserafim's Huh YunJin, is that they are giving hate towards these idols for drinking Starbucks drinks, now, although I myself personally agree with the boycotts of Starbucks and other companies due to the Israel and Palestine conflict, and I actively go out of my way to avoid these companies, I will not force my beliefs on to others, just because Somi and YunJin have consumed Starbucks beverages, it does not give people the right to hate on them, as we all have a choice on what to do, and not to do, like I mentioned, I personally avoid Starbucks and other companies on the boycott list, but I will never tell people to do the same as it is their choice on whether they choose to partake in the boycotts or not, all the people giving hate to these idols, or any others for drinking Starbucks are in the wrong, as they are forcing their beliefs onto other people, when EVERYONE has a choice, just because someones choice doesn't align with your own choices, it is no reason to hate on them.

Same!! OMG I really find this "trend" stupid and ridiculous!!
Yesterday, I saw a video on tik tok with text "Lets boycott kpop. Not just the main 4 (i guess big3 groups + bts)...." They want to boycott the whole genre because idols dont speak about palestine.
Girl 27000 people died in gaza and you call the boycott a “trend”???! How do you justify that please? How else we would be fighting against these companies who send billions to the IDF to manufacture bombs to drop on gaza??! Unless you don’t care about the thousands of civilians dying then shit, go ahead sis & drink up that bloody coffee all you want

ya'll shut up you guys don't know anything. It's a genocide not something simple tf is wrong with you all.
it's her life let her do whatever she likes kpop stans are so sensitive

Not to JYP tho, JYP is doing fine with ITZY & NMIXX. The only one who made a mistake here was Somi because going to YG or BL nowadays is the worst thing any idol can do. Nah, Somi’s vocals improved a TON since she left JYP; I think she’s been receiving better training and guidance at the Black Label.
Leaving Jyp was one of her best decision. If she stayed in jyp, she probably didn't had much chances of showing herself. She Also got better training in YG.

The video is just a waste of time. Also, do you really think idols aren’t drinking Starbucks off camera? It’s so dumb. Idols these days are criticized for looking in a particular direction or blinking. They are human beings. ALL of us, even idol, make mistakes and are learning as we live. She literally hasn’t done anything to warrant hate or being “cancelled” or “controversial”. She’s one of the most relatable idols there are. Also, how are they songs she’s given her fault?? THe company will tell them what to sing and how to sing it.
So that makes it okay? It's still bad that they're drinking it off-camera but the fact that she's publicly advertising it and showing the world that she just supported a genocide is mind-blowing. It's even more mindblowing that you are defending this like its nothing that thousands of children and people are dying in Gaza.
@@Hanna-sr1mq I never said that it makes it “okay”. I’m simply stating that many idols do things “we wouldn’t expect” when the cameras aren’t rolling. Also there’s brand contracts that idols have to do that their company makes them. She deleted the video like other idols have. But do you really think idols won’t have coffee anymore when they’re running on a couple hours of sleep? Also, drinking or not drinking Starbucks won’t make any difference in what’s going on in the world. You really think just because someone gets a coffee makes them criminals who support genocide? It isn’t just one sided either. There’s been genocide happening all around the world, but why do people only care about Gaza?

She’s a normal person just like us and she also make mistakes, you can’t force someone to tell “sorry” if they don’t really want to and I bet she didn’t mean to not say sorry at all, she might directly didn’t say it but she actually apologized for it in her own way and with her own words.
there is a right and wrong side when it comes to genocide....

Ridiculous... what is wrong with some of the audience? There is *nothing* wrong with Somi, not then, not now... It is the world that has changed: everything needs to be within the personal liking of each and every individual. New Jeans literally did all of this since their conception. Triple S. Kiss of Life. Like everybody was going for throwback sounds and trying to get TIKTOK challenges.
Jeon Somi breathing = Everyone's triggered
Hi. I kinda like Fast forward. But wow...so many controversies. 🤔
People act like from 2017 below there were no good songs, we always have to be innovating... then why is everybody remixing old songs? oh yeah, maybe some people want to listen to the -2017 songs and that's fine, but kpop stans could never accept that, you HAVE to be doing the newest trends, otherwise your song is "bad"
But I really wonder why they didn't hate le sserafim's Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeards Wife, the beat is a similar style
