VERY GOOD STUFF. I thought my method of wrap and tuck was as good as it gets. I thought wrong. The only thing different is the way you capture the tag end. I've been putting it under at least three wraps where one obviously holds fine. The finished wrap is much better looking the way you do it and just as easy to take off. I thank you Sir and my poor almost self-amputated thumb thanks you as well.

Excellent video brother. This was the chillest wrap and tuck instructional Ive ever seen, not to mention, really informative. It never even occurred to me that you can actually band it valley up for better sight picture for long draw 🤔 I used amberbelt to band for a while, but have gone back to latex strips because the extra bulk serves as grip and reference points where to plant the tips of my fingers shooting brace. Cant wait for the next one! Cheers JB!

Thanks, I'm fairly new to slingshots (as an adult!) and am collecting frames at a silly pace.. lol most have "clips" like the new version of the Spitfire I just ordered from you, but others don't, like the FNK I also ordered.. so, tying is a skill I'll need to master, but I'm glad it isn't as critical to get perfect as some others have suggested...

Thanks Jb, another awesome video which helped a lot. Gonna go and see if it improves my way of wrap and tuck now just to try something different.
Just a couple of questions though:
Do you centre your bands or keep em to the edges and why?
And is there a reason why you attach em valley up?
Does it have to do with the way you look down your bands?
I've tried it before when trying to move my shots to the left, but they went way left, so now im playing around with chambering my frame to get my shots back on target.
Anyway, thanks again for your tips and tricks.
    Much appreciated.

      Thanks, brother.
Answers..if you're a short draw shooter, then where you place your bands does not matter. If you are long draw, it definitely matters due to using the bands as a reference on the cheek. I always set mine to the outside of the forks.
I band valley up because it gives me a better sight picture, and I will shoot off the side if I band the opposite way. It doesn't bother some shooters, but it does me. I hope that helps

@@Omega-Slings I shoot long draw about 3/4 butterfly, thumb down. For some reason my hits are low right, but I compensate for that to hit dead centre. Im only talking less than a 1/2inch out when I shoot paper, but that can throw my shot on a 25mm spinner everytime, so I need to compensate for that. Im working on it though. Just need to find what works for me.
      One more question:
I use SS .4 Yellow 20/12 tapper @ about 290mm active and shoot 8mm steel. If I change that tapper to say 22/14, keeping my reference point the same, would that affect my shot, as in bring it up or down?
I might be over thinking it, but I like things to be perfect.
Im really trying to dial in my accuracy, thats all.
Thanks for your feed back, it's much appreciated and it helps a lot.

@adambordic423 ok, if you're shooting low right then, just clock the frame left or counter-clockwise. It normally doesn't take much.
Snipersling .4 ylw 20-12 at 290 should be fine for 8mm at that length because I can full butterfly .4ss cut at 260. It's really stretchy, but full butterfly with 260 would probably over power 8mm, but then again, it would be close. Any cut with .4 should do you fine.

@@Omega-Slings Thanks again for taking the time to answer a few of my questions, its much appreciated.
I'll play around with a few different things over the next week or so and see if I can bring those shots up and over to the left a bit. Like I said its not much, but its not perfect either.
Thanks again Chuckin, I appreciate your feed back. And keep them videos coming, there's still so much to learn.

Good video, if your bands are smaller then your fork width do you center them or set them to the outer edge?

    • @Omega-Slings
      @Omega-Slings  Рік тому +2

If your short draw it doesn't matter at all. Long draw alway to the outside of the forks
