Question: obgyn said that I should get a birth control shot to avoid getting pregnant when that is not my concern. That is called fraternal twins. The other way is if your body makes one embryo and then the embryo splits into. That is called identical twins. You could also try IVF and get two embryos created and both of them put in your body. There is no guarantee that one or both of them will not die though.

Progylton contains estrogen and progesterone. It might help a woman get a period but doe not increase the chance for ovulation or pregnancy
