So true. I'm glad I discovered the video. It's been many years since I first heard the tune. I found the song inspiring back then on record and hearing it again recently performed live here rekindled my appreciation.

Why is it that this Sergio Mendes music always makes me happy and smile ? In 1966 I was merely 7 years old and apparently this music was somewhere captured via radio in my brain . It took years of Prog music , rock , jazz , blues and resurgence of vinyl to come across a Mendes album , to remind me of the music that somewhere was carved in my memory . And now , I have about 20 Mendes albums , have seen his show with band and Gracinha in 2019 , and was treated on a package send from the other side of the planet with a T-shirt and Ltd signed poster from his Hollywood Bowl concert in 2021.
The most weird thing was - that I had bought last year a Japanse vinyl edition from the group Bossa Nova and not knowing the group , only to find out later that I had taken pictures of Gracinha in 2019 front stage , and that she was in that band 50 years earlier.....weird.
Mendes his music is uplifting and full of love.
