Yes, @Carolyn T. , that part is sometimes the most challenging for doctoral learners, but the sooner that happens, the sooner real progress starts happening. Best to you!

Thanks for this video! I’m anxiously awaiting my first prospectus feedback from my Chair. When I receive it, I’ll take Michelle’s advice. 👍🏽

@Viva Guynes Yes, Michelle is a great model of how to deal with feedback. Embracing the iteration process instead of fighting it will help you in the end. Please let us know how you are doing in the comments as you progress. Best to you!

@Princess Patti Lanier, I'm so glad. The advice is sometimes hard to put into practice, but it is worth the effort.

I agree, I submitted to the process early, and I knew it was a marathon with some sprints in there. I would ask Michelle since she must have had coaches in her 12 years with the national team, how she took the recommendations they gave her because I assume they were minute adjustments because she already had the talent and drive.

Michelle took feedback like a champ. She listened to understand. She reflected and worked diligently. It wasn't until the video that I discovered how she processed feedback. She's a consummate professional.

Dr. Markette, is my chair supposed to check the rubric feedback in every section?

This is a good question to ask your chair directly. If you don't understand something, it really is best to check with your chair.
