In 2016, I wrote a script called "The Trench" loosely about this boy of about 11/12 who goes to the trenches of World War One. I edited it and edited it over and over again, scrapping things as I go, battling the urge in the back of my head saying "delete it, you're not good at this". I persevered these thoughts and I have kept it to this day. I have changed it dramatically with much more detail, and now, I have called it "Lost In The Trenches of Time" (LITToT for short/abbreviated). It is about the same boy, who is 11/12, called Jack, who finds a dog tag (name tags, basically) for a soldier that was part of his family in his friend, Bill's Dutch barn. The soldier's dog tag is Jack's Great - Great Grandfather, he heads to school and shows his classmates about this dog tag he happened to have found in a barn. He then falls unconscious suddenly, unexpectedly and this is where the story starts. The whole story is basically him dreaming about this trip to a war museum where he gets sucked into the trenches of WW1 via a G-force from a faulty periscope found in a model WW1 trench. As a young kid who had just written this script called "The Trench", I never had much hope for me in the future, I thought it would be **impossible** to get this script published into a film of some sort, hence why I was so keen to give it up and just delete it, but when I tell you, when applying for a university, one said "the characters are so well developed and the story is incredibly immersive.". They had given me hope again. Point I'm trying to get to you is, NEVER ever give up on your dreams. No matter how easy it may seem to just give up on you're dreams, persevere, stay strong, know that your dreams are completely valid and WILL come true if you are heading in the right direction. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. -Galatians 5 : 22 - 23 Don’t delay, you should immediately trust Jesus Christ and God!
