I can see Ntensa, Wuta and Carlyto. This performance was 33 years ago in France and yet, just like wine, the music is sweeter than the yesteryears. Wuta Mayi is still alive, giving his very best to Humanity! How about the rest? Dr. Ogeto International 2:204:03
It is said that Madilu was encouraged to start his Band after he sang Datti Petrole and his composition Biya and in the process Dribbled Josky to the extent that latter boycotted Madilus Funeral at which only Lutumba and Ndombe appeared. This hearsay I stand to be corrected.
@@jaredosoro1519 This was not OK Jazz, this concert was after Francos death and was in France by ex OK Jazz plus Afrisa members, Tabu Ley included, you can hears his voice apart from the Afrisa song, his voice can be heard in the Mayaula composition "Don Padrino" (Bakayoko), hiding behind the stage but his voice is audable
@@asili2tv767 Ok Jazz didn't collapse immediately after Franco's death. It survived until 1993. In this concert - just check the credits at the end - it was substantially the OK Jazz members, many of whom- post 1993 became members of Bana Ok.
1. Beyou (Wuta Mayi), Tala ye na Miso(Dalienst), Bon Samaritan(Papa Noel), Daty Patrole(Simaro). The first song live "Beyou" sounds better than the original version
Crazy that this was the concert that subsequently ended OK Jazz. When Madilu returned to Kinshasa, Simaro suspended him then Madilu went to the Luambo family, even though they weren’t supposed to be handling administrative affairs and of course you know the rest.
Ntesa was n is one of the best tenor voices one can listen to ever in the rhumba music❤❤❤
It doesn't matter whether I know lingala but it's my most preferred music of all times. It makes all my nerves relax when I listen to it.
