Very nice! this is gonna help me, you explained it very well. I requested this unhooking part because i want to learn to do unhooked tricks, and now you're with an amazing learning vid! Thanks 👊
Thanks for posting these videos, they give me heaps more confidence when trying new stuff im not sure about when kiting! Keep sharing the stoke! Cheers Liam (Australia)
Love the step by step stuff. Esp unhooked tricks. Can you do a video talking us through how to approach faetures eg your kicker angles etc compared to downwind angle etc. Cheers bud
Ok thanks! Could you also make a video about boots on just give tips here. At my home spot start is a little bit tricky i need to go up wind right away. So i am afraid to try boots. Maybe i should just go in the middle of the water to get my foots in the boots and not on the beach. Thanks
haha KGB's and Slim chances are probably my favorites. But yeah man vlog life is tricky sometimes its hard to get banger shots due to a weekly time limit and not always having someone to film :)
Hi Jack, fantastic tutorial job! love the in depth details. Any chance you can advise how to create maximum slack in lines when popping and the theory behind it? thank you!
Created my logo using illustrator and made it move with premiere pro. Super simply to get stuff to move around. But you can get super tech with in Adobe After Effects. Good luck with the editing Ben!
just pull the bar all the way in kite at 12 o clock if it stals you need to depower more until you can have the bar all the way in end the kite does not stall
See the 2:15 mark. When you attached the ring to the chicken loop it basically stops the kite completely flagging out only giving you depower from the center line. But if you ever need to flag out your kite you can simply pull the quick release on the chicken loop :)
+Fabiano Lima I ride the ozone C4 with a 38 cm bar. Check out a more in depth talk about all the gear I ride here >> ua-cam.com/video/YGonWd6HjZQ/v-deo.html
is it normal the bar presuare be to strong? i have a cabrinha switchblade 10m (2008) and i think i dont have power to hold on hahahah sorry bad english, i am from brazil
Hey Tobi, I'm not a big fan of the extra bungee center line it always chafes my fingers so I actually remove it from my everyday setup and have the flag out above the bar. But... I wouldn't really recommend that to anyone else as its not super safe haha
Yes you can just make sure you are underpowered when you practice and that you have trimmed the depower so the kite wont stall when you unhook, usually half way is enough. I taught unhooking on the Rally for years its great in light winds for unhooking but not so good in med to strong winds as it pulls like a train.
If your kite is back stalling it means your kite isn't sheeted right. Depowering it will help but you can also adjust the back line knots. Goal is to have the front and back lines the same length so when you sheet in it Powers up and doesn't backstall

Very cool video! Lots of good tips. Can wait to try them all, when water will be warmer...
Do you go with smaller kite when riding unhooked? To don t be over power?
You ride what ever size is right for the day. It's just to get use to using your edge to control power. :)

Hey Jake, awesome vids! I am trying to edit some videos myself and was wondering how you created your logo? Cheers
Created my logo using illustrator and made it move with premiere pro. Super simply to get stuff to move around. But you can get super tech with in Adobe After Effects. Good luck with the editing Ben!

nice video and tricks! But is it really safe to put safety ring on the chicken loop? As I understand the kite won't depower if anything goes wrong.
See the 2:15 mark. When you attached the ring to the chicken loop it basically stops the kite completely flagging out only giving you depower from the center line. But if you ever need to flag out your kite you can simply pull the quick release on the chicken loop :)
great video
Nice, BRO!!!
Great video 🤙

Show. Thanks 🤙
Thanks !
seemed like a good knowledge
No adjustment on the frontlines? I mean when unhook better to adjust the frontlines to avoid backstall?
Thanks. 🤙
Thank you
The best!!!
Very cool
Always great tutorials. My tutorial go to kiter.
Nice, nice! Will try! :D
nice i will learn with u
is it normal the bar presuare be to strong? i have a cabrinha switchblade 10m (2008) and i think i dont have power to hold on hahahah sorry bad english, i am from brazil
Lucas Cheida pull your depower strap in a little, so you just have enough power when sheeted in, like if you are wakeboarding
nice THX!
I liked the vídeo content!
Hey jake, why do you kite sometimes without the saftey option? (no saftey bungee)
Hey Tobi, I'm not a big fan of the extra bungee center line it always chafes my fingers so I actually remove it from my everyday setup and have the flag out above the bar. But... I wouldn't really recommend that to anyone else as its not super safe haha
I have a slingshot rally, can I do a raley to blind? when I did it get too deepower
Yes you can just make sure you are underpowered when you practice and that you have trimmed the depower so the kite wont stall when you unhook, usually half way is enough. I taught unhooking on the Rally for years its great in light winds for unhooking but not so good in med to strong winds as it pulls like a train.
how can we trim our kite when weare unhooked ?
nice nice
No depower because of backstall necessary?
If your kite is back stalling it means your kite isn't sheeted right. Depowering it will help but you can also adjust the back line knots. Goal is to have the front and back lines the same length so when you sheet in it Powers up and doesn't backstall
