The improvement from the PS3 era to the PS4 era is unreal. Hopefully something like this can be seen on PS5 later in the generation, but I have my doubts... We've already attained such realism on PS4 that it will be difficult to improve on PS5. The smaller detail will get better but I think it is about it. If they can manage to improve on PS4 image and do 60FPS then I'm all good.
2k14 graphics are the best to date
Why? We shouldn’t have improvements at the graphic department. The graphic department simply sells a unfinished product because of how it looks.
Keep in mind they’re comparing 2k18 at the END of last gen’s life-cycle. We’d have to wait for the graphics and engine developments around 2k27 to have the real “generational comparison” for these examples if we’re using the games at the end of the last two generation’s cycles.

It is amazing how advanced the ps3 and Xbox 360 were and still are. the only thing that held both systems back was the ram. ps3 ram was 256MB and Xbox 360 ram was 516MB on power PC?! ?why did they do that?..... Oh yeah money, money money

The graphics has improved, but there are still some weird robotic animations going on.
Also, the crowd looks completely lifeless. Their eyes are wide open and their expressions are stiff / nonexistent.
I think that ps4 still so powerful that they can optimize the graphics of NBA2k to look even better, but they tried to promote ps5. so lets makes it look bad as it could be on ps4.

It seems that with next-gen increase in graphics, unnatural movement and pathing of AIs and NPCs sticks out so badly. Like turning on ESPN and all the humans have been replaced by robots.
