Hawk Lake Log Chute (Algonquin Highlands)

The remnants of a log chute below Hawk Lake on the Kennisis River are the last of their kind that remain in the Canadian province of Ontario. There has been a log chute at this location since 1961.
This is a free-to-visit historic site on your drive from the Greater Toronto Area to Algonquin Park. It is located just off highway 35 in the Algonquin Highlands between Minden and Dorset.
