I think they knew there was no information left in those files that could point you to the exact location of the crash, that's why they were so helpful and gave you acces to it. Still a cool adventure and video. I did not know about this remarkable crash.

I really liked this video too, my favorite although the hotsprings run a close 2nd. I would love to go spend some time in that water but no way could I stay in them all night like he did. He's definitely a tough guy.

The bullets you found are 50 caliber and from American avenger aero planes that completed sorties in 1945 against the Japanese, there are several Avenges that were shot down and two that clipped wings over Tai Tam near Stanley, I have been to both crash sites. As for the gold plane on Mount Parker you were in the general area but looking too far over to the East, I have been to the crash site several times with friends and have found Mexican Pesos gold coins. The photo in the achieves was also missing when I checked out the files several years ago, Most of the gold was suspected to have been taken by police and a few went to jail with the remainder taking early retirement. I know a gentleman who went to school with a boy who's father was the fisherman who found the crash site 2 days before he reported the location and salvaged a lot before he told the authorities who were looking out at sea for the plane.

I must have been on the crash site too, because I gridded the whole mountain face at least 3 times, in my video you can see only the 1% of what I have done 🤣 I'm done for this treasure story if some new adventurer wants to try is welcome! Congrats on the gold found, there was not a single coin left for me 🤣🤣
Great idea for a video hunt, I read about this accident too in South China Morning Post a few years ago. An expedition returned with 5 or 6 metaldectorists and they did find one gold coin from the wreck. and you found a historical Japanese cave and some bullets which is still pretty cool, especially considering how bad the weather was!

Great video I know that you can find some of the remaining gold you have a good head on your shoulders and it will take time. 70yrs of rain and monsoons will wash and spread whats remaining all over. I'm sure that you have separated the area in quadrants so that you can check each one thoroughly and so that in future visits you don't examine the same area over and over again you will find
