Are you using Wozmon by choice or rather to avoid copyright problems with other monitors?
I'm thinking that the monitor from the Commodore 128 might be a good choice otherwise as it already has everything built in to handle bank switching (although "only" 16 banks in total). Also it has disassemble and assemble which afaik wozmon lacks.
Thanks! The Commodore 128 monitor would be a great shout, but yes, licensing is a concern. It would be great to port it, but I don't think it could be shipped in ROM.
Will the development tool chain run on linux, if I load with linuxbrew?
Yes, it should work just fine on Linux / linuxbrew (and there are folks in the community who use that OS 🙂).
