America's Next Top Model Cycle 19 Finale Recap

- In the finale of Cycle 19 of America's Next Top Model Judge Kelly Cutrone meets the models on the streets of Jamaica to mentor them through their official Nine West photo shoot. Then, the girls pose across Half Moon Bay for their Nylon Magazine photo shoot.
Finally, the battle for the fiercest will be fought at the most famous -- yet infamous -- property in all of Jamaica, the mysteriously haunted Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay.
The previously eliminated contestants return to join the finalists and their families for an unprecedented runway show that embraces all the beauty, culture, history and music of the island as the winner of America's Next Top Model: Cycle 19 is revealed.

Thanks for your re-caps pat! Winner or not Leila is going to be missive. really enjoyed the arguing at photo shoot, thought that was funny. Thought run way was a bit of a let down though cause it was just for friends and no one important it seemed.

seeing Kiara broke down really breaks my heart. anyone can see how hard she s trying to get a better life. And sometimes it s really frustrated when no matter how hard u try, u still cant get it. Poor her. really wanna give her a hug of support

yay laura! there was a difference between Brittani and Leila they both fell (leila twice) but brittani had a good walk, also did you not think like some of the eliminated girls were working it more than the finalists? like brittany, nastasia and Kritsin looked great.
Is that a tattoo I see on your right arm at 4:40? Btw, I didn't remember seeing Victoria participating in the fashion show. Correct me if I'm wrong please? Did she miss her Mum too much and had to head home

Jessie was in the finale...i clearly saw her...watch the episode again when sophie sumner talks to all of them..she is right there..the only missing girl was Victoria who obviously was with her mum

I think kiara should have won I honestly don't see what they see in luara. although this may seem bais I think laura was taking it away from some of the girls who really needed it I mean her moms a model and her dad a famouse actor she could have became a model without the help of tyra. I just really feel kiara shoud have won shes a hard worker, beautiful on the inside and out while laura that popular girl who has always gotten what she whanted
+stephanie nwankwo Same thought! Kiara is doing pretty good now. She walked for Style Fashion Week (not once, but every season). Leila obviously couldn't win because of her low challenge score, non-existence for 3 episodes and the double falls at the runway, but now she is walking for Givenchy and several top brands in Milan FW, signed by several modelling agencies around the world, followed by multiple magazine covers and editorials.
hahaha i thought the exact same when their families popped up, like "omg imagine Victoria was there seeing her mom" lol
I know you said no more T.V. shows, but i think you would make hilarious Recap videos for Rupaul's Drag Race. I they are finishing up a season right now, but there will be a new one starting in January! Think about it ;)

They planned to do that (have the 3 top girls go through the whole episode) but it kinda got ruined when Angelea got disqualified. I also think the challenge scores had too much of an impact. Some of them didn't even have anything to do with modeling (the video game one, the dancing one, the acting one).

I was very confused with the format of the finally, cuz the parents were already there, at the fashion show. It wasnt bad, but I wasnt expecting it, leave it to Tyra to make a a theatrical episode. The runway was good.... and some of the girls were really good walkers..... like that girl Darien, man can she walk! they shouldve given them more air time for their walks.... but some would obviously outshine the finalists. Also, I wasnt expecting for Laura to win, not that she doesnt deserve it
one thing I don't understand is that Leila had the lowest average challenge score. But obviously she would because she wasn't there for half of the competition. And anyone else notice that Jessie and Victoria were missing in the finale?
I DEMAND to see Leila back if there's ever another All-Stars cycle. Leila and Leila only. No other girls from this cycle. Do ya hear me, Tyra?

I might be mistaken, but Tyra did want Laura to win - her score was 9 for Laura, 8 for Leila and 7 for Kiara, but Kiara has stronger challenge score (albeit horrible fan score) to outwin Leila for the second place. I want Leila to win so badly.... her campaigns photos (Dream Come True, Nylon and Nine West) were much better than the rest!!!!

Laura was the best in this cycle, she was flawless in every shoot and in the top 3 always when it came to social media, kiara defenetly the 2nd best always flawless, and leila,i mean come on, she wouldn't of even been there if it weren't for social media, if this were another earlier cycle leila would be looong forgotten
We talked about what would happen if Victoria's mom were to show up. Her eyes would spin backwards in their sockets and all her hair would fall out. I love Victoria.
What are your thoughts on The Face? I think Nigel, Naomi, Karolina, and Coco blow Tyra out of the water.

I'm happy for Laura and I was rooting for her after Leila was eliminated but then when Leila came back I switched back, I'm kinda sad. Leila just needed a few lessons with Ms. J Alexander, oh wait Tyra fired them...
It barely matters who is no. 2 and 3, they're almost interchangeable, so I'm still fine with Leila and Kiara.
I'm really happy with and for Laura. Finally a girl won who didn't have an obvious sob story!
She had a nice arc, though. Started out really strong, kept falling and redeemed herself in the end. I wonder why they didn't focus on that more.
hmm i wonder why they didn't do runway, oh maybe that's because they fire MS JAY, runway coach extraordinare and have alicia keys coming in instead and have a 'fun' and unserious runway teach.

Leila is the only one in the whole cycle that looked like a model. Laura was good to begin with, lagged and slowly redeemed herself at the end. Bitterly disappointed for Leila, it's like Allison Harvard all over again.

Iwill say this: The streak is over. Has anyone else noticed for a while now the runner up was either blonde before makeover or got a blonde makeover? Think about it. Kahlen, Nik, Joanie, Melrose, Natasha, Chantal, Anya, Sam, Allison (twice), Laura, Raina, Chelsea, Molly, Laura.
Please tell me why after Yvonne was eliminated, they called Allyssa plus sized, and then when she was eliminated, they started calling Laura "full figured" and "having a healthy body size." Her body didn't even TOUCH plus size, tf? But I like Laura, glad she won.

That's just real life, and it's better is you grow from a situation that that. And to be honest, from ANTM the only model that is famous is TYRA herself, bobody has really done anything else important with modeling. So, although Kiara situation it was unfortunate, she wasn't the whole model package and to win although i might have help her finatially, she would have had to leave college, and she should finish that because that will help her in her life in the long run.
NOOOO, I wanted either Leila or Kiara to win. Kiara wanted it the most. Laura is a villain. :(
I think Laura is adorable and is a wonderful role model of a gorgeous healthy girl but it defiantly was not what I expected. Their dresses were so gorgeous for the run way. But Kelly Cutrone was outrageous during that photoshoot. Seriously so unprofessional. If I had been that photographer I would have been like. really? Get the hell out of here.
Its not up to just the judges..they average fan votes too and Laura got the highest average.
I love your recap so much. Everything that you said is spot on. Laura is a model but NOT a good model. She will not go far. Tyra is not as happy i can see and that she admitted Laura is not her favorite. Laura will just become more pompous and whiney. Leila would probably would have been signed by a good agency like IMG anyway.

Leila should have won hands down, even after eating it twice. I would have been happy seeing Kiara win as well.. I definitely thought Laura would have been the first to be cut, then the final two be Kiara and Leila... Nope.. I was shocked at the end. And kind of mad because we all know Kristen was probably like "TAKE THAT, BITCHES!"
I wonder... how are they going to compare boys and girls... like there's no comparison when it comes to that... the season has to be only guys
So what if you fall, if you can walk, you don't have to be a runway model. None of the prises really have to do with runway anyways. Lelia should have won.

Great cycle ruined by a boring winner. And I can tell from Tyra's reaction Laura wasn't her pick to win. She gave her the win just because Laura was the "fan favorite" during filming. Who knew she became so hated when the show actually aired?
I totally agree about Kristen..cant stand her. I'll say Leila was my fave and also liked Laura all season. I knew Leila was out when she fell though..over all I do have to say Laura had the best portfolio. I didnt like Kiara at all..so glad she didnt win, hated she made it like she was only one that deserved it.
TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT KRISTEN!!! that girl is annoying!!.... and i loved leila and also i though antm it was gonna be kiara or leila. surprise surprise!! but laura was really good in the entire competition.
I loved Leila. This season was crappy but really funny
and also, nobody in the whole house had talent like in other cycles. I mean nobody was the whole package, i missed cycles like the one with britanny and ann's cycle and the petit cycle, that was SO good! and that fat guy giving tyra mail. I mean the show is a joke now. I'm really unhappy with ALL the major changes.
Ugh. I could not be more pissed off about this finale. If Tyra truly wanted to create the next "top model" there is no doubt that Leila would have won. Laura is too commercial, Kiara sucks at everything and should have been eliminated from week 2. And if it is rigged Leila still would have won cause Nine West & Nylon loved Leila and had the best ad for both. ANTM you disappoint me once again!

I think that from the 3 of them she was the one to win because she wasn't the worst, not because she is great. Her photos where really average & also her walk. I mean Leila was so wonderful on her photos, but her walk was terrible. And Kiara had a good walk and not good pictures. So it's obvious that the winner would be someone that has a bit of both. I guess average won this season. I don't like laura because she was really a bad competitor, trying to hate leila because she is actually better.

Except Allison doesn't look like a model. Having a unique face does not make you a model.
But kiaras whole body of work wasn't as good as Laura's.
