Team AMSOIL Offshore Laps Entire Field at Solomons OPA Worlds

Bob Teague and Paul Whittier light the course on fire on the second day of the OPA World Championships at Solomons, Maryland. They were fired up with something to prove after a Saturday DNF from a failed fuel pump. Perhaps a little too fired up as the first turn bouy became collateral damage along the war path! Regardless, the pair ran the boat to perfection, lapping the entire field, which included supercharged and turbine extreme cats.

I have a couple of questions...
1. What are the two black flaps on the stern purpose?
2. The blue tape with numbers above the drivers windshield... meaning?

NASCAR ain't got shit on you guys. Nothing more scary than going 90 MPH with your vision completely blocked by water and spray on the wind screen. Then not knowing if you're going to run over the guy in front of you because he broke down.
