The DJI Mini 4 Pro in Eagle Idaho on the Boise River

- It was a beautiful day in Eagle, Idaho on the Boise River the day of this flight. I flew the DJI Mini 4 Pro low and slow over the river as well as gaining some altitude for a "big picture" look at the area. This flight took place in October of 2023 before winter settled in. I hope you enjoy it.

I have one more comment!! I broke my mini 2 about 2 weeks ago.i brought it back with no care refresh,they gave me a brand new one,not refurbished.the shipping was free both ways.i really love giving dji my business.😊

Marcus, Fantastic flight. I do love your shots on the Boise River. I think you underbid on those homes. I found your location on Google Earth and then looked for listings in that area. About 2 blocks from where you were flying there is a small 2100 sqft home for $1.1Mil. From what I saw listed in that area I believe those large homes on the waters edge are in the $3Mil range. They are beautiful but I'm not sure they would be $3Mil beautiful. Not being nerdy, but your video peaked my interest. Thanks for sharing

Great low flight over that lazy river, you did a nice job of piloting in that tight space. But I prefer to do these type of flights with the Avata, because the goggles put me in cockpit of the drone where I feel I can better see those ghost branches and thin wires. Nice location to fly, and thanks for sharing.

I live in Eagle and sometimes fly my UAV along the river. Too many people on the river much of the time to fly safely.
Another lovely, relaxing video! One question popped to mind. How far up does the Mini 4 Pro's camera point? My Air 2S does +20/-90 degrees. The M4P seems to have a bigger range. Or is it just my imagination?
It goes up pretty high. I'd need to look up the spec. 👍

I wish there was a way to use the RC-2 with thr goggles, but there isn't. You must use the motion controller.

You lunched drone, started talking about bringing drone in close, t this point you are screwed on lnding on return. I always tell you drone starts looking for landing spot at 19 meters, then you do up and away and never raise straight up, you are dead in the water then.
Lanuch drone , goto 10 meters for a dew seconds, then do anything you want, it will pinpoint land then, Ray

Yeah, during my drone's second flight it got too close to a tree and hit some branches. It was during the return to home. The drone got stuck in the branches. Thankfully it was only 7ft off the ground, thus easily retrieved. Imagine it getting caught much higher in the tree, and not able to retrieve it. I would have had to hire some tree professionals with the right equipment to get it down or wait days\weeks for the wind to shake it loose.

I really love DJI drones too. I have never flown a drone, ever untill I got this mini 4 pro but this little drone is very capable, just so easy to fly. I would highly recommend it to anyone with at least 2 brain 🧠 cells to rub together.
