For helper robots, the smallest things can be the hardest to grasp

- Today, robots by and large exist in industrial environments, and are painstakingly coded for specific tasks. What if there was a better way to communicate with learning robots so they can help us? Researchers and engineers at Google Research and Everyday Robots are working together to combine the best of machine learning language models with helper robots that can complete complex and abstract tasks like ‘cleaning up a spilled drink.’

very nice 🙂👍

"please bring me something to clean up a spill" - brings a pre-lit flamethrower while playing Deutschland by Rammstein
Great! Now I won't need to do absolutely basic tasks like cleaning up a table, a robot will do it for me! And I can be even lazier!!! Amazing!!
Tbf, you don't do that now. At least that way the table will be clean instead of the filthy mess it is now.
"the smallest things can be the hardest to grasp"
That's what she said
You're not wrong
Wow! Great! Look forward to watching more.
It is a great move and I would love to learn more.
Emocionante ❤️
very nice 🙂👍
Good
Is it not easier to use a hand with 3 clamps instead of 2?
From a human perspective yes. From an AI perspective no so much. With 3 digits requires more processing for how to grasp items and how to make sure none of the digits are getting in the way when performing a task.
They are starting with the simplest configuration possible and will work their way up.
😀❤🤖Great!
Great!

Meanwhile Xiaomi revealed their robot a few days ago, that is basically joke of the year.
Cool.
Since when Google started building robots? Are they trying to recruit people? The robot race begins. Google vs Tesla.
Highly likely Tesla will be the winner, Elon Musk on multiple occasions have emphasized how their robot project is far more important than Tesla vehicles, he is determined to make it succeed, on the other hand Google is notorious for letting many promising projects go, even after years of investment and hard work.
Robots everywhere! It's inevitable! Unlike what most people think, AI and robots only do what they are designed to do. So don't fret the future, embrace it 🤗♥️
Boston Dynamics is way ahead of Tesla in my opinion
@@JigilJigil Tesla is no where near Google in AI which is essential for robots to perform human tasks
@@ellioso trueee.google is leading the ai and ml industry.
They need to tune the main control loop on the drive train of their base - did you notice the slightly jerky forward motion of the bot as it drove forward to hand over the sponge. Also probably need to introduce some gaussian acceleration limits on the hand - and well everywhere on their bot. Then things would be way smoother.
So, are you going to release that Robot to the public, please?
There is nothing to release yet. From them at least… ;)
@@JeremyDWilliamsOfficial I hope someday we can have an robot-assistant in our house!
@@Seadminist Tesla Optimus.
@@JigilJigil I am quite skeptical of this robot. I sincerely hope it goes ahead, but the humanoid form they intend to apply to it will make it extremely complex to develop. Note that this robot (from this video) has 0% human shape, and it is normal, for efficiency. Anyway, we will see on September 30, to see if the prototype is able to pick up a glass and deliver it.
@@Seadminist Tesla bot prototype was 10-15 years behind google’s robot on the AI front is 15-20 years behind Boston Dynamics on the humanoid robot front.
I expect that Tesla might be able to advance quickly on the robotics front but I don’t think they will ever get to be a leader in robotics.
However, they will remain firmly behind in the ai front as too many companies have too big a lead and too much extra resources working on this than Tesla.
pls upload video about, how to create algorithm for ai
Hello google please help me

So funny
idc how cute your videos are. nothing can be more sus than being nice... 🧐 I'll be keeping an eye y'all....
Still primitive artificial intelligence has advanced but not robots still.
Google, i am a Human, who has become exactly like one such Robot.
Oh nice let's begin the downfall of humanity 🙌
Has no one at Google seen terminator?

And this way Humans become more lazy
This is depressing!!
