I am enjoying the HIHP so far but wondering if a 61 yr old intermediate 85kg (187pounds) guy should have more volume?

It all depends
What does the person currently ride?
Is the current board s standard fiberglass?
What are the dims?
How often does the person surf?
How long has the person been surfing for?

@@hawaiiansouthshore the HIHP is thunderbolt black. I surf each week when there’s surf. Long time surfer. Just wondering if the Harley HI4 9’3” might have better volume for catching more waves ?

I think , if you are surfing beach break or a place that has deep water break (like some of the places on the North shore Oahu), like most of the place the 93 would be good. For paddling power so you can get into the waves.
But if you surfing more punch waves or a swallow water reef break the think 91 would work, since it would have more push and you dont have to paddle as hard to get into the wave.
