Tri Cities Washington Aerial Video - Richland, Kennewick, Pasco

- Here's a compilation of beautiful aerial drone video shots I've taken of the Tri Cities of Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco along the Columbia River in Southeastern Washington state.
I am a licensed commercial drone pilot and shot these with a DJI Mavic Mini drone. Featured prominently in the video are many beautiful views of the Columbia River, including all the bridges that span the river in the tri-cities area... such as the cable bridge (officially known as the Ed Hendler bridge), the Blue Bridge, and many shots of boaters enjoying a day on the river.
For those not familiar with the Tri Cities...
It is located where the Yakima River and the Snake River merge up with the Columbia River in southeast Washington. Because this is far to the east of the Cascade mountain range, the weather here is much more favorable than the wet part of Washington that you probably think of (Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, etc.) on the west side of the state. Average annual rainfall in the Tri Cities is only 8 inches per year... compared to 37 inches in Seattle! Yet there is abundant water available for use by Tri Cities residents, with approximately 90 million gallons of water flowing through this part of the Columbia River every minute! By volume, it's the fifth largest river in the United States.
I've been visiting the Tri-Cities since my sister moved here in the late 1970s, and I finally had a home built for me and moved here in September of 2020.
The music used in this video is called "Let's Go Home" by Jeremy Blake.

Tri cities is an amazing place to live
I completely agree! There's probably ten things I like about it better than where I came from.
I miss home so much. Thanks for the video.☺
Great video.
Just visited there last weekend (used to go there a few times twenty years ago). Things have changed so much. Really like the city. Hoping it has few more outdoor options than just the river though.

Nice video of the view of Tri cities

You now have the DJI Mini Three Pro drone to shoot aerial footage and videos with it!
What are you going to get next for your G scale model train collection?
I like the aerial footage from the DJI Mavic Mini 1 drone of the Tri Cities of Washington state.
I also love the 4-6-0 Northern Pacific steam locomotive #1354 on display in one of the shots in this video.
Now you have the DJI Mavic Mini Two drone shooting aerial video of the sights on the ground.
This is Thomas Comeau and as always, thank you for watching Jim Zim's UA-cam videos on his UA-cam channel!
That Northern Pacific steam locomotive #1354 was built in what year?
Let me know when you, Jim Zim, reply to me and I'll understand.
This is Thomas Comeau and as always, I will see the replies from you, Jim Zim!
Have a good day in Washington state!
If one of the manufacturers makes the Northern Pacific steam locomotive #1354 in G scale, then you will soon have that in your G scale model train collection.
As always, I am Thomas Comeau and I will see the replies from you, Jim Zim!
Cool
I'm sure you would enjoy the new flight simulator that's out now. You should give it a try
I wish I knew exactly what I was looking at.
Perhaps I should do a new version of this video this year, and add titles that tell the names of the bridges, rivers, places, etc.
I’ll be moving to Pasco in about a month. Is it a nice place to be? Low crime and such?
It depends on what part of Pasco you end up in. There are rough parts, and safe parts. Be sure you've gotten to know the area before you commit to renting or buying any specific home or apartment.
Nice Video and Music? What's the name of the song?
The song is called "Let's Go Home" and it's performed by Jeremy Blake.
If you liked this video, there's another similar one that I've done that you might like.
