That's a nice feature to have. Especially on a jobsite with quick load/dump turnaround. Thanks for sharing Nathan. I hope you're doing well my friend 🙂👍
Hey buddy thanks! I’ve been so busy the last three months I don’t know where the first quarter of the year went. It definitely takes away the operator having to remember all those steps, and make a more productive efficient operator. Hope you are well pal :)
Hi Nathan, Pre COVID I organised a trip for our local Engineering Society to Cat, Peterlee in NE England that I understood was the sole manufacturing site for these articulated vehicles, is that true or did I mishear? Eyesight too bad to drive now but I appreciate all your content. Just watched a Squatch video and in yours and his there was an advertisement for ladies hair curling tongs. Trying to thing how the UA-cam algorithm got that so wrong 😂😂😂🇬🇧 or maybe they didn't?
Hi there David thank you for watching , I actually have to admit I do know know where the trucks are currently being built. Sorry about your eyesight, I really appreciate you watching, I can’t figure out how the algorithm works. Have a good weekend
Years ago when i was 18 I started out operating a D400, my god what a punishment. They had self adjusting hydraulic rams for the body height. Anyway i eventually drove a 740 and still ruff as guts, they'll never make them things comfortable.
@@mattstegall5095 works just the same, when the box is hoisted up and you need to pull ahead to empty the box, just move it from reverse to drive and pull ahead. Once the box is empty hit the down control past the detent and head back to the pit for another load. It’ll hold you in a lower gear until the box is lowered to a safe spot then start shifting up.
So you cant drive and dump. That very inefficient. you should be able to dump at 20 MPH so the piles are more easily spread by the tractor with a scraper box.
No spreading at high speeds in an articulated truck is unsafe and very easy to tip the machine. So they limit the speed that the machine will travel to prevent that from happening. I’ll tell you what’s not efficient, spreading out truck piles with a tractor and scraper box. You should be using a bulldozer or grader for the best efficiency.
Works great till it dont , all this electronic crap is steadily making people dumber and lazier , everything was great in the machine world when everything was mechanical
You can’t stop progress fella, everything evolves it has since the beginning of time. Adapt and move with it or get left behind. The problem is that contractors don’t take the time to train their people well enough to run the machine if the ease of use features crap out, that’s no fault of the equipment it’s the fault of the contractors and narrow minded people who blame the lack of good operators in the world on tech.

Thanks, Nate will be seeing you around but I’m gonna take a nap now I just got out of physical therapy and I kick my butt
Take care Dan hope your not laid up to bad
Thats pretty mint 👌
Borkster!
Gotta make it simple for truck drivers 😂
@@ironman3406 😁👍
Amazing machines. Id love to drive one
Wonderful

Cool system Nathan. Will hold disengage by pressing the accelerator? Or only by changing range selection on transmission?
Great question Luke it will stay held until the transmission selector is moved.

Thanks for watching, articulating trucks toss you around now doubt! And a D400 yah that would be punishing.
@@ironman3406 lol, driving down the haul road in second gear max. 😂
Merci beaucoup
You can have them damn things hahaha.
Doesnt work well with big loads because you have to drive forward to completely empty the box
