@@dougley197 Sadly I had to sell due to a change in circumstances. It's going back to JHB on Monday🥲 I had my share of fun in it, though! And I'll almost certainly be back in another one at some point (with more track mods)😁
I was an absolute idiot for selling my rs275 cup premium. Biggest regret of my life. I know own a TTRS but the trade in value my dealer gave me I should have just put the Megane on bricks in the garage and held onto it. I didn’t think I’d miss the Megane with the Audi but man…. It’s just not the same.
That's very interesting. Would you say you miss the driver involvement maybe? The misperception some have is that speed makes a car good, but that's often not the case
@@roadswaysouth the Megane would move around and you could drive it on throttle, you could transition from understeer to oversteer just by throttle inputs, chassis was tuned for someone who lives for the thrills that driving brings. The TTRS is a weapon but it doesn’t offer the same level of driver involvement, it’s more grip and go and shoots you through the corners, still a fun car but it’s not a drivers car in the same level the Renault was.
That's making me stress haha. I have the GT86 and it's such a good car to drive because of it's playful yet focused nature. Problem is, I have no idea what would be able to replace it when the day comes.
@@roadswaysouth don’t get me wrong youll love the fact that whatever car you purchase is way faster and puts you in your seat but the novelty will wear off.
I own rs 275 with Akrapovič and Ohlins. It is nice car but very unreliable. I have under 50 000 km on it, Its like brand new and my gearbox gone (probably gearbox or diff bearings). Its gona be costy. Renault never ever. Need to get rid of this piece of crap and get a type r
@@roadswaysouth Yeah its a shame becouse it is fun and great car to drive. But we will see after repair is done what i will do with it. Hey you have great content and nice gt86. Be safe
@Tubalee The late Meganes shipped out with faulty bearings in the PK4 transaxle, diff carrier bearings would go out and it would become noisy. Car would drive fine though. Luckily I was able to get Renault to replace my transmission free of charge with one with revised bearings. But yeah went on my 275 too at around 31,000km. Known fault with the late model megane rs. We Should have bought rs250s lmao.
@@TheWretchedWorld My car is now 2 months at the Renault service garage and still dont know what is wrong. They took gearbox and diff apart 3 times now and inside is all like brand new and when they put together car, gearbox is noisy. They said that bearings are not damaged and they cant find the reason for problems. Problem is that in my country this car is pretty rare and probably they dont have so much expirience with this problems. They want to put new gearbox in which can cost me up to 4000 eur which is insane. I dont know what to do. Just want to get rid this piece of shit.
Thanks for having me and putting this together!😁
Any excuse to do the Franschhoek pass is perfect 😄
The pleasure was all ours!
Hey man just a question why did you sell the car? I saw it and I’m really interested
