- I crashed my F150 Raptor and ride insanely steep MTB trails with Brendan Fairclough! I ride with Brendog at Peaslake trails and hit huge rampage lines, DH tracks and Jumps on my Canyon Spectral On, Would you hit the rampage line?
I ride the sickest trails of Peaslake with Brendan Fairclough on our electric enduro bikes and have quite possibly the best day ever hitting steep rampage lines, fast flowing downhill trails and fun dirt jump sections around this famous bit of woodland in Surrey! I was riding my Canyon Spectral:ON enduro bike and this thing is perfect for all kinds of shredding, it's the best! I shot the whole video on my GoPro HERO 11 and loved the spot we rode. My day was ended prematurely though when my derailleur snapped off so I decided to go out for and off road ride in my raptor which ended in a broken bumper! Just before the crash I was saying how it would suck if I crashed because parts would be hard to find and look what happened!

Here me out Sam.... Delete the front bumper on the Raptor and replace it with an aftermarket one with a built in bash guard so this never happens again👍Best thing about a first gen is that the aftermarket is huge for it already.

Hey Sam, I also have a gen 1 raptor and I'd be happy to help you source a bumper either in the US to be shipped over or in the UK if I can find one (probably extremely difficult). There's a few for sale here locally in Montana. Do not buy it new! they are insanely priced from ford, used oem bumpers are easy to find in the US since a lot of people swap to aftermarket steel bumpers with better clearance. You'll also need a new skid plate but it is an easy swap and it will be like new. You may want to have a body shop repair the valence above the bumper though, I can see it's cracked.
Also a couple ownership tips:
1. I can almost guarantee you need a shock rebuild to make the truck ride better offroad and it will give you more control.
2. Press and hold the traction control button for 10 seconds to turn it all the way off, just pressing it only puts it into sport mode.
3. The stock pads and rotors are really bad and get hot fast beating it offroad, I run r1 concepts on my truck.
4. Those headlights kinda suck. The oem HIDs or the morimoto LED ones are significantly better and safer.

@Sam Pilgrim I'm not happy bout crashing the truck or making fun but when I saw it I thought it was part of the brand, instead of fixing it make it look like a missing tooth, thanks for all the inspiration.
Sam you dont need to replace it you can mould it back yourself.
Plus point is it is full metal bumper.
Unmount it and form it up again. You will get a idea as u take it off.
its not repairable. I know because ive done the same thing on my gen 1 raptor its toast along with the skid plate.
Worth a go with Sam”s car repair kit.. Angle grinder & a big hammer 😅

A good panel beater will have the Raptor fixed in no time Sam. Those trails especially when Brendan gets involved, are absolutely bonkers. Loved the trials log at the start.

That looks pretty fixable. Body guy should be able to do that for you without much issues is my guess. But I must say the idea of going with a sick after market bumper sounds nice as well 💪🏼

There are 2 modes on the F150 for traction control. One click does traction control, But if you press and hold the button for a few seconds, the display will show Advance Track off. Then you can really rip it. I don't have a raptor, but I'm pretty sure its probably similar setup.

hi sam, been watching your vids recently and havnt seen many stairsets of doom, I live in Hampshire and when out on a ride near Winchester I went down a stairset of 333 continuous steps with 45 m of elevation down st Catherines hill. Its So Sick. there are tonnes of other natural features and about 3 minutes away are some massive dirt jumps that were famous in the early 2000s. there are cool vids of it on YT.

Lucky for you left handed bumpers are the same as right handed bumpers, and there are Ford dealers all over the UK. Although I'd go aftermarket for something more substantial, with a winch.

Hey Sam did that to my Gen 1 Raptor ... the stock bumper is soft as cheese. US Automotive imported a new one for me ... expensive though ... 2 grand I think with all the bits ... AND it needed painting. 😢

Sam if I were you I would look to someone to help fabricate a custom front bumper with a winch and better clearance and protection. Might be a better option that trying to source a OEM ford bumper

You take it to a fab shop and get a pre runner style bumper made for it. Probably cost what stock raptor part would cost to come to the uk
Ebay, theres tons of knockoff raptor parts for making cheap F-150s look like raptors. And might as well get a bash bar while your at it!

Last winter my wife took my Raptor in the snow to take the kids to school. Comes back and says, "I spun out and crashed your truck into a guardrail. Absolutely destroyed the rail but the truck isn't hurt at all!" I go out to look and the bumper is completely wrecked, lol! Luckily I'm in the states and I just got myself a new higher clearance bumper and lightbar. If you can't get one in the UK maybe find your local offroad shop and have them weld you up something custom?
Tis' but a scratch. Straighten in with some transport belt, or ask someone who has a winch, then put a lot of stickers on it. Next time you crash it and it falls off, you will replace it

Sure you can get some badass aftermarket stuff for those Raptors, yours is a pretty old one now considering, so plenty of places should do stuff. Only problem is it'll probably have to come from the States.....
Yay, now you can get a real bumper. There’s got to be many out there on the market to choose from. Hope no damage to the radiator. A bumper with a wench my be a good idea too.
