I’ve seen Ace two times, and I’m only 28 years old , so unfortunately I wasn’t around to see ace with kiss as I was to young during the reunion years. However, Seeing Ace Now is the next best thing for me. I saw ace about 7 years ago in Wisconsin at the state fair and he was fantastic! He had a really good show and the setlist was great! He Played 18 songs , and I was super happy and Loved that he played strange ways! Was surprised he played that one. Now 7 years later and I saw him This past summer, I went to the Northwest Washington fair in Lynden WA , and he only played 10 songs…. His set was literally half of what it was 7 years ago, and wasn’t as good as the other show I saw. Still a fun show for a young fan like me to see, but I was disappointed with the gig overall. I can’t believe what changed in 7 years. Just overall not the best…. He sounded not to bad , but I couldn’t believe he only played 10 songs….. I’m happy I was able to catch him 7 years ago and see him atleast once where it was fantastic and a good setlist.
I'm with you on this. When he came back on the Anomoly Tour, he was trying so hard, and working so hard. I saw him 4 or 5 times after that. Each one, a little lazier, a little more questionable. I won't see him again. I don't want to hear any KISS non Ace songs. And 10,000 volts has 2 good songs, the rest are horrendous and Walking on the Moon is without question the worst music video ever!
I saw Ace sometime back in the 1990's at a bar in Melbourne Fla. He didn't suck but, the opening act (a local band out of Ft. Lauderdale called Dead Serious) outperformed him. The Ace solo album was by FAR the best of the KISS solo albums, with the Paul Thanley solo album coming in a distant second.
Ace played great several years ago. These days, miss & hit is about 50/50 at best. He's stated before that he's always been sloppy like that's suppose to be a good thing. (Musicians should practice before touring) If I want to hear "Ace Frehley" guitar, solo's played sloppy, I'll listen to little kids practicing on "You Tube." I seen Ace Live back when Alice Cooper had the Rambo brothers playing for him. hahaha Ace did a great show. "Sloppy?" At times.. hahaha
Wow, have to laugh, you are so so right, firstly, Steve Brown annoys the crap out of me, and secondly, your right about the set lists, would absolutely love to hear him do , my favourite song , into the night. Don't even understand why the hell Steve Brown even helped him write that album, . That was great Doc. Thankyou. !! 🇦🇺
Never seen him live other than the Reunion through the Farewell tour and loved every min of it! I also loved the first Frehley's Comet, but have mixed feelings about the second one. Great video as usual!
Doc Don't let Belcher know that you are going to piss on Ace's tour bus Belcher will be there with his piss jar to collect it and call it his new Tequila.
Sad part is, Ace is probably still touring and putting out music not because he wants to, but because he has to in order to survive. Nothing like getting stuck in a rut in your old age, hopefully he still enjoys playing
True. I think for him he enjoys playing but also he has said he likes to keep busy because if he doesn’t his sobriety will go out the window and he will slip up and fall off the wagon again. So he likes to tour cause it fills the void, and keeps him sober. I’ve heard similar interviews with Alice cooper , he said he needs to golf and tour nonstop because he’s a recovered alcoholic and if he isn’t busy he will start thinking about alcohol again.
"NOT A FAN OF "Cherry Medicine" or any song off that album. I hate him stating "Brown is going to help with the next "Trixxter" crappy sounding music! yuck! Ace set list should look like this 1. Parasite 2. Rip It Out 3. Hard Times 4. Cold Gin 5. Rocket Ride 6. Snow Blind 7. Shock Me 8. Into The Night 9. Save Your Love 10. Trouble Walking 11. What's On Your Mind 12. Strange Ways 13. I'm In Need Of Love 14.Speeding Back To My Baby 15. Deuce and at the end, break into the outre solo on "Black Diamond" No extended "Shock Me" solo. Smoke the guitar with the closing "Black Diamond" solo. No "New York Groove" and no Kiss, tunes that he didn't sing on with the exception of the closing tune! Without being to sloppy. hahaha You like my choices Ralph?
If Ace came to Winnipeg I'd pass on seeing him. My all time favorite band, but no thanks. Saw him in 2008 and it was one of the best shows Ive been to. He was on fire. Nowadays......I'll stay home and hear my many friends and family complain eh about how bad it was and I'd be all smiles saying I told yas so.
I couldn't agree more Ralph I've seen Ace probably close to 15 times solo (I've lost count) I haven't seen him in the last couple years I'm sure Steve Brown is a nice guy but Bring Richie Scarlet back Write some real songs again I'm sure Ace would be having much more with Richie playing on stage with him live as well
Two more than one and three two. Ok now I’m confused……😅 Actually couldn’t agree with you more. Love Ace…, but lately he talks up these shows like we’ll all be BLOWN AWAY. Then ya watch the vids of the recent shows and it looks and sounds like his feet (and his guitar) are stuck in cement. It don’t seem right with his band almost jumping off the stage with energy while Ace does his Robo-Ace thing. I definitely think you’re right about the Gene vs. Ace solo album sales figures. I’m your age. So when the solo albums came out I was about ten. I didn’t know much about KISS except that I liked em cos they were badass cool. When Christmas came around I knew damn well my parents weren’t gonna buy me all four so I naturally asked for (and received) Gene’s cos I was ten lol, and it was GENE SIMMONS!!!! the fire breathing, blood spitting demon from KISS!!!! With the AWESOME album cover. I just HAD to have it. Thanks for keeping me entertained.., best wishes to you, family, friends…. during the holiday season and beyond. Peace, Love and OZZY.
Saw Ace in 2010, was amazing, saw him in 2014, a lil less amazing, but still great. 2017, was kinda sad but still a banger. 2022…..? Was v sad … as an ace fan with several tattoos for him, he has no place to talk about Paul or gene lol
Maybe one of these days Ace will be able to FaceTime his performance from home while the rest of his band is live at the venue. That's even better than him phoning in his PISS solo's when they were in the studio with Bob Ezrin. All the weirdness is why I always will have a soft spot for Ace. You can always count on Ace being Ace. And that's a fact Jack.
I seen Ace In June and thank god it was a good night because I almost didn't go but I did. I won't see him again tho.. He himself is about toast. In Marion Ill. its on UA-cam. AND YES the set list was less to be desired for sure.
1:48 "I say the three of you kick ass" Funny🤣. Ace thinks he is such a great musician only because he doesn't use backing tracks. But he still uses Paul (Love Gun, Detroit Rock City.
Just saw Ace last week in Des Moines. The band is good! Ace can't seem to get his hands to work together and all he wants to do is throw picks and go home. Maaan, it was just a whole bucket of suck.
🙄 People have mostly been listening to Kiss with their eyes. Except that first album. That was solid. Solo Ace album too Can you imagine the carnage if people had access to the resources we have now? A little pre-listen and Gene would have been humbled. 😝 Maybe not. His ego seems pretty bullet proof.
Ace is the Coolest Member of KISS.
‘Into the Night’ would be a banger.

I'm just grateful that I got to see Ace this past March with my 24 year old nephew, who's been an Ace fan since he was three years old.

LMAO! Paul Thtanley of Kith used backing vocal-tracks on their " supposed " final Kiss tour!
He needs to start using backing tracks
Doc Don't let Belcher know that you are going to piss on Ace's tour bus Belcher will be there with his piss jar to collect it and call it his new Tequila.

I love his audio video demo probably one of my favorite demos
"NOT A FAN OF "Cherry Medicine" or any song off that album. I hate him stating "Brown is going to help with the next "Trixxter" crappy sounding music! yuck!
Ace set list should look like this
1. Parasite
2. Rip It Out
3. Hard Times
4. Cold Gin
5. Rocket Ride
6. Snow Blind
7. Shock Me
8. Into The Night
9. Save Your Love
10. Trouble Walking
11. What's On Your Mind
12. Strange Ways
13. I'm In Need Of Love
14.Speeding Back To My Baby
15. Deuce and at the end, break into the outre solo on "Black Diamond"

Great choices!
It would be cool if Ace would write with Blackie Lawless. They grew up together and understand each other.
But, God, does his audiences wish that he did use backing tapes!
Ace can't even remember how to play 'Into The Night' anymore.
If Ace came to Winnipeg I'd pass on seeing him. My all time favorite band, but no thanks. Saw him in 2008 and it was one of the best shows Ive been to. He was on fire. Steve Brown is a great guy. I think he’s taking Ace’s directions
I couldn't agree more Ralph
I've seen Ace probably close to 15 times solo
(I've lost count)
I haven't seen him in the last couple years
I'm sure Steve Brown is a nice guy but
Bring Richie Scarlet back
Write some real songs again
I'm sure Ace would be having much more with Richie playing on stage with him live as well
Loyal subscriber just here for the "Kiss Wednesday" music 🎶🎶
Thank you!
I saw Ace live last year, he was terrible, he sounded like crap, he's been mailing in his live performances for a long time.
He’s clearly doing ‘yoga’ again.
I’m going to see Ace with Stephen Pearcy at the end of December. I’m hoping it’s decent but I wish he would do more solo stuff
Two more than one and three two. Ok now I’m confused……😅 Actually couldn’t agree with you more. Love Ace…, but lately he talks up these shows like we’ll all be BLOWN AWAY. Unfortunately Ace, we already know that...
Check out cherry medicine and walking on the moon isolated vocal tracks lmao now that's some funny shit.
Great video
Thanks!

Trust me Ace, we can tell.
His backing tracks would suck, anyway.
ACE FREHLEY better than Angus Young
1:48 "I say the three of you kick ass"
Funny🤣.
Ace thinks he is such a great musician only because he doesn't use backing tracks.

Unfortunately, Ace can’t leave USA b/c his passport has been revoked by IRS.

Piss on the handle and you might get Alamoed like Ozzy
It's complete rubbish. Maybe one of the worst albums ever recorded
Watched a vinny vincent 80s metal guitar lesson video. He's terrible. Kulick was the most talented, Ace was the most influential.
