Did you ever tried Plastic AULOS Traverso flute? They are not that expensive as those of wooden copies. I want to know their sound quality compare to the wooden Baroque flutes.

I suggest you check out Baroque flutes made in resin by Vincent Bernolin. They are beautifully made, sound excellent, and are most affordable. I own two different models of his flutes pitched at A-415, plus one of his fine recorders.

I prefer a Rottenburgh, especially for jazzing up Bach.
