Thank you, I was struggling with this, you are rescuing those who wished to study economics, and live a country where that is not accessible or not a developed knowledge in higher institutions. Respect :)
I was having such a hard time learning this; the terminology was making me nuts. Thank you for an incredibly clear and concise video it was so helpful!!
Land is a common good. Regardless of who owns it, we have to occupy land to live and produce wealth. Cyberspace and the electromagnetic spectrum are also included into the economic definition of land.
This is very well made but there are a few conceptual errors. We pay for things because they are excludable, not the other way around as suggested in the video- that's an important point. Also wifi signals are in their "natural state" are as non-excludable a public road. A public road can also become excludable- a toll road. So we need to deal with goods in their "natural state" before we add in concepts like wifi passwords and toll booths. The fishing resource is also complicated- while we don't have a fleet to follow them around, we have fishing licenses and international borders. In many cases, fishing resources not in international waters are protected and there is a mechanism to enforce the laws (not easy of course, which is why it is relatively non-excludable, but contradicts the example given.
Dear Conservation Strategy Fund, I need to make a animated video for school. What site did you use to make this because it looks relatively easier then other sites i've tried?
It seems like it is not only about rules since, no matter what rules you establish, you can't defend your whole nation except for that 01 inner city that decided to not pay up.
Hello folks, we just got to do this and noone show us how to do it :D welcome on high school in slovakia :D i would appreciate if you could help me :D thnx Adam and Eve consume a private (S, price PS=1) and a public good (V, PV=1). While Adam benefits more from the public good, Eve benefits more from the private good. They each have an income of 100. Their budget constraint is S+P=100 1. Define the utility function for Adam and Eve for each of the goods. 2. How much public good will be provided in the social optimum for the community of Adam and Eve? 3. Eve decides not to contribute to the public good - how much will be produced if Adam has a great interest in producing the good? 4. Peter moves into the community, who is interested in the production of a public good and used to contribute to it. How will the willingness to provide a public good in the community change, explain. 5.Define a public good and the behavioral interventions that a public government can use to promote its optimal consumption
Finally an understandable clear video about Public Goods, thank you so much sir! You don't make things so confusing
