A massive congratulations on buying your own property, that's a huge achievement in Sydney, especially when you have kids and are paying daycare fees too! Also, that pink lip was MADE for you, it looks stunning!
Sydney is ridiculous re cost of living. I admire you for diving into the maelstrom of real estate in that crazy market. My sister lives in a nice suburb in a townhouse (which she owns) and that’s where she raised her daughter happily. I am super proud of her for achieving so much.
Huge congratulations on becoming a home owner, especially in Sydney! I am from Melbourne and it took us many years to save up for a deposit. We also had to settle for a place farther away than what we wanted, but it was the only way to make it happen. I hope you have a smooth settlement day!
Samantha I haven’t watched the vid yet but I read the title and I have tears. I am so happy for you and your family. Congratulations! I will sit down and soak in all the details after dinner. I absolutely love watching you and your humour, warmth and genuine nature are rare jewels in the world of social media. Love ya ❤
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 🎊 Second of all, moving while your child is very young is the best moment. The older they get the more they remember and more attached they become. You baby will remember very little of this, she will adapt very quickly. I moved country while my kids were 5 and 6 they the younger was the first to "forget" everything prior. Also know someone that moved with a 16yo and it was extremely traumatic to him as all of his existence was around his fam and friends from the previous place, he didnt know anything beyond that but he managed fine after a few years of struggle, soooooo she will be finnneeeee. She will forget (being so young) and make new friends in a blink p.s. as I continue watching I realize I dont know how old your kids are so I hope I didnt say something insensitive but I stand by the fact that, the younger the better.
Sam I would love to watch you turn your house into a home!!! I’m in a very similar situation. I have two littles and have been living in a rental that was not my style for the last few years. We just bought our first home and I’m looking forward to making it feel like our home and changing it to our preferences!! Congratulations! And I can’t wait to see what’s next from you!!! ❤
🎉❤I am so happy for you and your family! We have a similar story. I met my husband when he came here as a master degree student. Despite being married to an australian citizen and with 2 children, he only became an Australian citizen this year (it took almost 5 years). And the struggle is real 😢 Xoxo from Perth - Nat
Cogratulations, Sam and Vinnie!!! HUGE news and so, so happy for you guys. Can't wait to see the next phase of your journey in your very own home and bringing your cute courtyard garden to life❤. We moved quite a bit with our children when they were little and the last time when they were 14 and 18. We made the decision as a family that last time. They were up for a new adventure and were not afraid of change. Kids make friends very easily, and I'm CERTAIN Ivy will do just fine as she has your outgoing personality. She also has a loving, stable home life which goes miles to engendering kids' confidence and ability to thrive in new conditions. Pretty sure Mauna (sorry if spelled incorrectly) will also carry on happily, with perhaps small blips on first few times at his new day care. So yes, it's a bit scary, but mostly wonderful and exciting chapter for you all. Much love and best wishes for your move.
Sammy, so excited for you with the move. I actually do love a town house. I always think that's the best of both worlds in between a house and an apartment. What an exciting move for you. I wish you the best for it.
Congrats to you and your husband Samantha! Totally with you on how expensive Sydney is, we just finished saving our deposit for an apartment and my husband was made redundant.
I bought my first house when I was 19. OMG 😂, it was 30 minutes outside of a town, 2 bedroom, barely a kitchen, shitty bathroom. But, you have to start somewhere.
OMG I am SO happy for you! Congratulations. You thoroughly deserve a house of your own. Good luck moving etc. you have so much to be proud of. Ok I’ll stop gushing now… ❤
Ivy seems a gregarious open hearted child and she will make loads of new friends quite quickly. We moved after being in the same town for 10 years and our daughter had been to daycare, preschool and all of primary school (and some of high school) with the same kids. She then had to make new friends in year 8 in a new town etc. Her mental health (always having been an issue) was our major concern of course. She made a few key friends at school and she played cricket outside of school and that helped her a lot. ❤
I am so happy for you & your family- congratulations Sam! I became a single income home owner five years ago at 42. I’m not usually sentimental but it’s my pride and joy. So I know exactly where you are coming from. This is a massive milestone and I am so excited for us to become apart of this journey. I’m already following your other channel and girrrl I need tips and inspiration and your vision is right up my alley. You should have a YT housewarming with a live chat and get ready with me once you’re settled 😁
Congratulations, exciting times! Kids will be fine once they settle. The reality is your daughter may part ways with her kinder friends when she goes off to school anyhow.
Also, I totally get what you mean re a spouse visa. Hubby is not Australian and it took years for him to go from a work visa to a spouse visa and a permanent visa. And the paperwork. OMG! SO MUCH PAPERWORK!!!
Biggest congratulations Sam on buying your property. What you and Vinnie have done is HUGE..Sydney real estate is a disgrace (all of Australia actually but Sydney is the worst) and you have cracked it. Well done..I felt quite emotional for you both. I hope you and your little family are very happy in your new home and that it will not be too long until you are able to move into your forever home. Make up looks great btw
Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing 🙏. Love seeing you so happy.

I moved around a lot when my kids were younger due to my husband's work. My kids were remarkably resilient and coped better than myself.
Will you need to change work too?
Also, I totally get what you mean re a spouse visa. Hubby is not Australian and it took years for him to go from a work visa to a spouse visa and a permanent visa. And the paperwork. OMG! SO MUCH PAPERWORK!!!
