The Para 3 has landed and Spyderco has delivered on a compact, every day carry folder that has all the ergonomic design and high-end performance of a larger folder in a more EDC-friendly package.
The clip point blade is made from fully flat ground, CPM S30V for excellent slicing and piercing performance. It deploys smoothly and easily thanks for tight tolerances and an extra large Round Hole that is fully accessible for both right and left handed users. The 4 position, "hour glass" style clip, makes this knife fully ambidextrous for carry and use.
An open back construction and nested steel liners keep the knife slim and light weight enhancing the already top-notch design. Very close in size to the Sage 5 compression lock, the Spyderco Para 3 is sure to be a new favorite in your EDC rotation and a classic design for years to come. Proudly made in Golden, Colorado, USA, Earth! Check it out now at GPKnives.com.

Thats crying out for a deep carry clip. Not thrilled about no dissembly. Thanks for the first look!
Deep carry for sure. Check out the above thread about the stop pin. Sounds like the P3 can be taken apart.
Very nice, can't wait to get my hands on a p3!
One of my top picks in EDC this year.
I bet, I can see why. I'm sure spyderco is hard at work pumping out those beautiful sprints. I'm interested in some of the different steels they offer and then I will jump on one or two..
Yeah, I would love to see one in CTS B70P. They recently released a Mule Team in this steel and it is described as "Stainless Cruwear". Sounds good to me!
thanks Tyler good to see the knife.
Welcome! How are those 4V Puukkos working out for you?
GPKNIVES still waiting to get it in my hands to make my conclusion. High toughness at 64hrc has been confirmed so I'm very excited.
Para 3s are back in-stock! Get one while they last! www.gpknives.com/spyderco-para-3-c223gp-black-g10-plain-edge-knife.html
gorgeous....
Thx for the video. Gonna have to save up.
Welcome!
I'll wait for the S110v version
when will they be available and great video
Thanks! Most likely within 2-3 weeks.
Thanks! Great comparison!
Welcome!
Have they announced any sprint runs yet?
No P3 Sprints announced yet.
I much prefer the Sage series to the Para Military 3.
On my list of knives to buy. Are these going to be offered with a coated blade?
As of right now it's just the Satin blade but I would expect other models to follow.
The stop pin is stepped and it comes apart just like the rest of the knife. It is sandwiched between the liners. Same deal as the CTS-204P Military. You can still take the knife apart, no problem.
You can take the knife apart. Before I started crying on the comnents section, I learned about the knife first.
I didn't expect the Para3 to look so awkward in the pocket while tip-up. They need to get rid of the gigantic lanyard hole and move the clip.
moisturizer bro wheres it at?
Ha, yeah, it's pretty dry here.
GPKNIVES lol i was just kidding
They should've made the lanyard hole smaller, and moved the clip so it's more of a deep carry. That sticks out of the pocket way too much.
Can you guys open a storefront in the Northshore (North suburbs of Chicago) area plsssssss?
Sorry, but I don't think that will probably happen.
GPKNIVES :(
is that a pinned stop pin? doesn't look like you can completely take it apart...bummer.
seen that too!! also improoves action on pm2 when adjusted to proper tightness.....so i bet these will never be as smooth as most pm2
Dubglock23 exactly - that's a critical adjustment to get the action just right. that's totally a deal breaker for me.
It is a pinned stop pin. Guess Spyderco really doesn't want anyone breaking the warranty.
Pretty sure that is the same stepped pin from the latest CQI update to the milli. AKA it is a pin but it is not riveted
so "floating" or fixed? can u dissasemble the new mili?
I will pass I got rid of the 2 because it just didn't fit my hand unless I used the finger choil. if they would of got rid of the humps at both ends in my opinion it would fit the hand better. I do miss the silky smooth action tho.
Try the Sage 5. Ergos are a bit more contoured.
GPKNIVES looks nice thank you
bummer on the stop pin, but not a deal breaker for me.
See above thread regarding stop pin. Looks like it can be taken apart.
Just this clip holes under the lanyard hole is bad.Deep carry is impossible tip up
i think i need me one :)
Pretty sweet.
indeed!! but im a pm2 guy till i die!!!
i dont like the fact u cant adjust stop pin/ thats how usually get a better action on pm2
See above thread regarding stop pin.
Im hoping that the pin actually keeps the lockup in an ideal setting. A reason they went with it is because the torx screw tended to come loose from frequent use. So hopefully the lockup you want can be adjusted through the pivot and nothing else.
I'll wait for a military with a compression lock and tip up carry. Para 2 is already an excellent edc and this para 3 is not the looker that it's older bros are.
Only way to get one of these currently is to get shafted and pay $200 on eBay to one of the people who cleaned out the first run. Ugh
More are on the way. Wouldn't pay more than MAP.
GPKNIVES do you have an ETA? I'm hearing around end of January.
We just got a decent size batch in. Get 'em while they last!
😲
the para no one asked for
Smaller blade without the smaller price
Exactly
B-rad Rad I live in a state where 3"+ blades are considered weapons, so I'm interested in it
A lot of people asked for it.
A TON of people wanted and will buy this knife. I personally think the para 2 is the perfect EDC. If I wanted something smaller I'd go for the sage 5.
