Stunning looking bike. I was into motorcycles when these things were around so missed the whole era. You weren't tempted to clear coat the whole frame tho? I've polished one before and wish i had done, its a s**tty job and not one i want to do regularly.....and yes although I'm a retro roadie, 85 Trek560 and 92 Colnago super, I'm subscribing for more retro MTB content 👍
Thank you for the subs! No I thought I’ll leave as is, if it gets dull I’ll stay on top of it. I’ve recently restored another Hardtail that was ball burnished but didn’t go as far with the polishing, just brought it up to a great shine but more like a ball burnish rather than a mirror polish. Thanks for your comments, yes retro is definitely a way of life
Gorgeous bike and build! My first real MTB was a GT-LTS 2 1997. Wish so bad I still had that bike!
From a fellow vintage GT enthusiast nice job...where are you located
Mate, you've saved me a lot of time and hassle!! Cheers 😊
Those birds in the back ground, sounds like your at Jurassic park 😅
Nice! Looks clean man. I polished my backwoods last night. Love seeing it shine after
