Mark 6:7-13
On the Road Again
In this insightful exploration of Mark 6:7-13, we delve into the moment when Jesus transitions from performing miracles to commissioning His disciples for active ministry. This passage highlights the critical aspects of training, empowerment, and reliance on God. Jesus sends His disciples out two by two, emphasizing the importance of support and shared responsibility. The disciples' power to heal and cast out demons comes from Jesus, reminding us that we are also called and empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out God's mission. Jesus instructs His disciples to rely on God for their needs, teaching a valuable lesson in faith and provision. The results of their mission are left to Jesus, encouraging us to remain faithful even when immediate outcomes are not visible. As modern-day disciples, we are challenged to move from spectators to active participants in God's mission, trusting in His empowerment and provision.
