How To Get 2nd FREE HSW UPGRADE In GTA 5 & What To Use It On

- Learn how to start Hao's Special Works (HSW) in GTA 5 Online & Get a 2nd FREE HSW UPGRADE
Hao will call you and tell you to go to a garage in Downtown Vinewood where his Grotti Turismo Classic will be. Once there you will begin the HSW Time Trail where you need to beat Hao's Lap Time of 8:00 to unlock all HSW benefits. After finishing the time trial, you'll receive the 1st FREE HSW UPGRADE that can be used to convert any eligible vehicle to HSW at the mod shop in the LS Car Meet. You'll also receive access to HSW Time Trials, HSW Race Series, White HSW Racing Tee, and a special service that allows you to purchase an exact copy of another player's car at the LS Car Meet.
Once you've unlocked these benefits, go to the LS Car Meet in a public lobby and wait for someone to bring in one of their personal vehicles, or have a friend bring a car to the meet. Then go up to their car and click "Purchase this specification of __'s Personal Vehicle". As long as its a reasonable purchase price, go ahead and buy it. Once you do, Hao will notify you that you've unlocked a 2nd FREE HSW Conversion UPGRADE.
At this point, you just need to decide what to use it them on. My suggestions:
Purchase the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag & Use 1st FREE HSW UPGRADE to upgrade it to an HSW vehicle. It can be used for Weekly HSW Time Trials to make money (roughly $250,000 per time trial completed)
Check the list of HSW eligible vehicles at the laptop next to the mod shop in the LS Car Meet. In my opinion, the Bravado Buffalo EVX, Grotti Itali GTO Stinger TT, and the Penaud La Coureuse are the best value purchases since their HSW Conversion Costs & total purchase prices are high and they also have the added benefit of being Imani Tech vehicles.
Or just pick any car that you've always wanted to drive fast or that you think will look really cool!!!!!
Also if you're a returning player and have just unlocked HSW benefits, the Karin S95 will have a one-time free purchase price on Southern San Andreas Super Autos. It will come as a fully upgraded HSW vehicle, so there's no need to spend on it.
That's all! Enjoy driving super fast, sliding all over the place and crashing into things all over the map! Use your 2nd FREE HSW UPGRADE wisely!
Btw... if anyone purchases a copy of YOUR car at the LS Car Meet, YOU receive a free HSW modification upgrade. So it's not as valuable as a free HSW Conversion, but it's certainly a helpful discount!

@@sammi6933 haven’t tried since update but it’s not a glitch to be patched.. it’s part of what’s available to players after completing haos time trial. Doubt they would remove this.. I just did it with a new account a couple weeks ago, should work. There are restrictions tho (ex: buying copy of cars that are free on websites won’t give you free upgrade) & once you’ve done it once on an account you can’t get any more free upgrades, only mods

How do you unlock the call?
I bought the has upgrade for the drag but when I go to the trial it doesn’t show up
The Drag and Stinger were the ones I used the two free ones on, also lmk if someone else had this happen when I sold one of my cars to my friend in the meet, a THIRD discount popped up so I immediately brought my Devestate 8 in to use it on it but it was gone I checked the discounts and it says 1 I tried and tried and it didn’t work on anything the next day it was still there all day a 1 , nowadays it’s gone and I have no idea if it was just a glitch or what

Nope! I sold my friend a plain Albany primo for almost nothing & it worked. Just has to be a personal vehicle they own ..but it won’t work if the car you’re copying is one that can be had for free on one of the websites so keep that in mind

Late reply (sorry!), yes new gen console is step 1. You’ll also need to be on newer version of gta online, called the expanded & enhanced edition. If you have that, he should call you when you log in but if not you can still find his icon on map & start HSW process
how do you unlock haos special works? i’m on xbox series/s and haven’t gotten any calls from him tho i haven’t did any of the low riders missions and unlocked bennys either i don’t own what it says i need
it should just appear on the map. I never got the call but the icon was there

You absolutely can! Do you have the expanded & enhanced version of gta online? It’s the newer gta online version specifically for new gen consoles. That could be why he hasn’t called. I tested it with a new account yesterday & he called within a few minutes

@@ed0r838 you can get it digitally, just look up “gta online” on your consoles store and look for the one that is specifically for new gen consoles (ex: on Xbox the newer version has “X|S” on the bottom of the game)

Can you buy any players car or does they're car need to be hsw?
Any players car. Doesn’t need to be HSW eligible but there are restrictions: you won’t get free upgrade if you copy a car that is free on the websites (ex: hijak khamelion) - and sometimes others that will say you can’t copy them. Best bet is to do it with a friends car that’s cheap & not overly customized.

Mod in what way? It’s not HSW eligible if thats what you mean. Otherwise you can customize it in other ways at LS customs or auto shop

Yes, however, the Karin s95 is only free for returning players meaning if you migrated from the Xbox one/ps4 version of gta online over to the expanded & enhanced version on your new gen console. Then after completing hao’s initial time trial, it will be free one time purchase on southern San Andreas super autos

My understanding is that if you’ve already done this with one character you can’t with your 2nd if it’s all under the same social club account. I believe it’s based on accounts, not the character.

What will happen if a Banshee is fully upgraded in LS Customs? Will the HSW upgrade add the performance boosts? or it will only change the upgrade from LS Customs?
Basically, is it better to have both upgrades from LS Customs and HSW? or go only for the HSW for better price value?
If you’re upgrading to HSW there’s no need to upgrade beforehand. HSW upgrades don’t stack on other upgrades, it’ll just change from the “normal” upgrade to whichever HSW upgrade you add. But HSW is far better for performance so I’d always recommend HSW if you have the money
Side note: if your car has been upgraded to a Benny’s version, it can’t become HSW since it’s technically a “different” model. Likewise if you take an HSW car to bennys and upgrade it, you will lose your HSW upgrades. So it’s one or the other

What if you use the first one and you want another can you still get a 2nd one
You can get the second one any time after you’ve completed haos time trial. You can use the first one then buy copy to get 2nd or buy copy, get 2nd & have 2 free upgrades stocked up. But that’s the max. One free after time trial, other free from buying copy

To get HSW vehicles, you need to be on the expanded & enhanced version of gta online (newer gta online version) specifically for new gen consoles. Hao should call you not long after logging in.

First step is having new gen so you’re good there. Then you’ll need the “newer” expanded version of gta online (has x|s in bottom right corner of game). After that, HSW is available when you log on

Sadly you can only get HSW on the newer version of gta online (expanded & enhanced edition) which is available on new gen consoles (and coming for pc at some point, not sure when or if it already did)
For the amount of money we spend on the upgrade the least they could do is unlock all the track rims

If you've already gotten the 2nd free upgrade (from purchasing a copy of someone else's car at the LS car meet) then you can't get another one. If you haven't done that yet then yes you can still get another free upgrade. And when you say hsw Ferrari which car do you mean? The weaponized ignus?

Depends what you’re playing on.. you’ll need to be playing the expanded & enhanced version of gta online, specifically for new gen consoles (ps5/xbox series x|s) to get HSW vehicles.

Sadly no, HSW is on the expanded & enhanced version of gta online and is only available on series x|s & ps5. However, there are so many mods & glitches out there I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a way to do it

@@fatboyhtownholitdown8932 the offer for the free karin s95 is for returning customers so you'd have to have moved over from old gen (ps4/xbox one) to new gen (ps5/series x|s) then complete hsw setup

It works! There are restrictions tho.. if you’ve bought a copy before & got 2nd free upgrade, you won’t get it again. Also certain copies of cars don’t count (ex: cars that are free on websites won’t work, others will pop up with a message saying you can’t buy a copy of them)

Certain cars aren’t eligible, really odd how it works. I let my friend copy the primo off me for 15k and it worked for him but that was a while ago

@@Jlo-blk it doesn’t have to be an HSW car but there are some weird restrictions. Like if the car is free on one of the websites it won’t work. I recommend getting a friend to let you copy a cheap car that’s on the website & not free for either of you (I use the Albany primo from Bennys website)

Did it recently on a new account & it worked fine! Just took a while bc only certain cars that you copy work (ex: buying a copy of a car that’s free on the websites won’t give you 2nd free upgrade)
