awesome pokemon figures
I have a Charizard Tomy (and others) with the exact same Japanese markings, but I got them from the Pokemon Center store in NY back in 2005.
Ah I'm learning so much! Thanks for making these! I love knowing how old they are and how to decipher the markings, like CG and all that. I have a few that are apparently ages apart.
I bought a 2004 squirtle and a 2007 venusaur brand new in 2014 i think. Both with the shiny texture, not the newer matte texture.

i just realized some of the new released TOMY are better than first release..such as Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mew, Meowth and Raichu...
After you mentioned the Caterpie colour error I had to look it up, looks like it's the Tomy that is wrong, Caterpie's nose should be green. The orginial Sugimori art has the nose green, but funnily enough Caterpie in the first season of the anime has a yellow nose, so maybe the Tomy is based off that instead.

I remember these. I used to buy them from the Pacific mall and make soap operas with them. Some are bootleg though
Hi! How do you know what's rare or not? I have a pretty big TOMY Pokemon figure collection and cannot find anything online about rarity/a database or anything. I feel like there was a website couple of years ago, but I can't find it
Kim had access to a huge database at the time of making this but idk if she remembers what it was. It was from a user on pkmncollectors.
The first charizard, the charmeleon and the dark charmander are real from Tomy. They came in a three pack. I have them here, sealed. The first ones from 1999 / 2000 are everytime more expensive than the later figures.
I saw a video of a little kid who had a bunch of these. Legit ones too.

Thanks for the help! I found a few boxes of Tomy figure dating back to 1998. I got them as a gift from a few Japanese exchange students that came to the US back in 1998-1999. Anyone got anymore good information about these or how much they are worth ?
Depends on which ones you got. Either nothing or a few hundred
I have had two squirtles and both there tails fell off. Luckily super glue has worked for one of them for many many years.

I make videos every week. Kim's my wife and joins in when possible but our incoming baby is making things difficult for her.
I have a question i hope u can answer i have a few that only say "audley tomy made in china." Nothing else im guessing these are fake??? I've looked everywhere but i cant find info on it. Thanks!
Don't worry as you can see if a figures that made from audley which means its an original version from japan. I have a jynx, butterfree and eevee had audley stamp on it but its different in the u.s. version. Stay cool
