I used to have a lot of issues with progressive house in the early 90's when I was out and about in San Francisco but the genre has evolved in many special ways since then........ unlike most other genre's which have become utterly superficial and commercial. This is a great track with a very powerful build up/climax towards the end. Lots of soul and healthy aspirational emotion in this track.
Same here - trance was king though and progressive just couldn’t live up to it - didn’t get you sweating like a king trance drop. Progressive has progressed over the years and has almost amalgamated into trance and Ironically less progressive. The new cosmic gate stuff is sweet as.
Having travelled through many of the trance/d&b/techno/progressive/house genres, progressive house is where I've landed and pitched my tent. Most genres go through a crappy period and progressive house no different but it's pretty damn good now.
