In this trilogy of parables about God’s response to our lost condition, Jesus portrays God as eagerly taking the initiative to find us. While we may be inclined to hide from God, He is not at all inclined to hide from us. He’s running after us, searching for us, longingly looking down the road for any sign of us finally coming home.
