Sophia was a fan favorite from the beginning. She’s got great vocals and a great personality and leadership qualities so that’s probably why the coaches also praised her. It was basically a given that she would debut.
Now Samara was also a fan favorite from the beginning on for her vocals but then she got in a bit of a controversy online for allegedly liking some tiktoks with quite controversial opinions so she lost a lot of voters and probably didn’t make the cut in the end because of that and I think the judges also didn’t give her many votes because if you want to have a successful global girl group then having a member with controversies from the get go isn’t really a good idea I guess.
yeah, i feel like a lot of people don't understand how HxG are not taking any chances with this group. they eliminated nayoung for just mentioning she might want to go solo, and she was ranked even higher than Samara for mission 3. the tiktok controversy absolutely destroyed Samara's chances. i don't understand why she never thought to address the issue. was the company disallowing her? IMO, if they just addressed it properly, people might've been more forgiving but what's done is done. 🤷🏻
Manon or Marquise were the only choices for that last spot, practically speaking. Ez and Em, I love so much, but their height really made it obvious they weren't getting picked. 🥲

Nope she was never gonna make the cut but some people were too blind to see it. Y'all need to realise that skills doesn't make someone a star. You think the famous artists we listen to are the most talented ? No there are probably people who can sing/dance way better but who live in the shadow. Samara is really talented but she clearly doesn't fit the aesthetic/vibe of the group HxG were looking for. Look at her compared to the contestants who made it. She's short with a cute face while other members all have a similar tall height and gives fierce vibes. She fit in a cute group concept with Emily and Ezrela but clearly not in KATSEYE. Mission 3 was clearly for the label to test different concepts and see which one they were going for and by looking at the members of KATSEYE, it's clearly a more strong badass/fierce concept. A lot of people like you are not seeing that aspect and keep thinking that her controversy is why she didn't make it. With or without she was not gonna make it because she just doesn't fit in KATSEYE.
@@sleepvore It's true that they aren't taking any chances but Samara's controversy is not why she didn't make it. Without her controversies, she was not gonna make it anyway. The same reason you think Emily and Ezrela had no chance is the same reason why she had no chances as well. She's really talented but she just doesn't fit in KATSEYE at all. Her height, aesthetic etc...doesn't match the concept of the group. Manon was always gonna be in, I could see it from the very beginning. She fit KATSEYE the most and you could tell that HxG had their eyes set on her from the get go. When the first trailer dropped, Manon was the one people couldn't stop talking about. The way HxG put her as the main character of the trailer was clearly strategic. Then throughout the show you could see them pushing her as the center girl in every single performance.They always gave her parts where she takes all the spotlight like chorus/ending center positions. The fact that you had people who thought she was not gonna make it was hilarious to me. A lot people from the beginning were saying that HxG were always gonna pick only 1 Black girl and that's it was gonna be Samara. Personally I always saw that it it really was coming down to the 2, Manon was clearly the one HxG was going to pick, I had no doubt about it because for me Manon was in no matter what. I wish Samara the best because she's extremely talented but I do agree with HxG decision to not pick her because she really doesn't fit in KATSEYE. If you can't see that then you're blind.

Samara was caught liking some tiktok videos about India and their "gross" culture. What made it even worse was that her mom told them that she did nothing wrong. I think the group would've been cancelled before they even debuted if they let Samara in. But we can't deny her talent, she just needs to be more careful next time.
Samara would have made it but she got into a couple of controversies and lost fans. I am assuming the company didn't want to take the risk.

@@sasasavage5047 Manon has to do with this because they were always gonna pick only 1 Black girl so one of them was always gonna be out while the other in. So because Manon was for sure in means Samara was gonna be out. Then her being given a TikTok dance with a TXT member (Kai) was all about promotion of the song. That song they were dancing to is a feat between TXT and Anitta who's a Brazilian artist, that's why Samara as the only Brazilian was chosen to do the TikTok dance with Kai as portraying Anitta. Also the TXT member (Kai) chosen to dance with her is half Brazilian. It was all about promoting the song and she as a Brazilian had a connection with Anitta and Kai. That doesn't change the fact that against Manon she was not gonna make it because the labels clearly wanted Manon from the get go.

Samara had a controversy, and a lot of people wanted her removed from the competition. Of course she wasn’t removed, however, her votes plummeted, so she just didn’t make the top 6.
