I, for one, welcome our robot overlords. :)
But seriously, if we can create robots like these, how far along are we coming with powered exoskeletons? You wouldn't even have to create any AI; just take a robot, add a bazillion interior muscle movement sensors, set the whole thing up to move seamlessly with its human inhabitant and you're all set. It couldn't be any harder to make than a bona fide android, could it?

at its core, the balancing algorithm stems from the same root as your smart phone knowing about itself of being held vertically or horizontally, ... there is an embedded device called an "accelerometer" .

@LithiumLogica Well anthromorphism in robots is always a big draw, you could have something like a massive squat multifunction vacuum cleaner but I doubt it would have the same appeal.

@deathrubik Not, scientists who knows the robots tech, predicts that beyond 2030 humanoid robots will be on the market. That's why the knowledge is exponential, that is a point very impressive, for example. It took 1000,000 years to control fire, 100,000 years to develope bow and arrow. But in just 100 years humankind passed in 1900 to practicaly not having nothing, to have cars, aircraft, TV, electrodomestics, computers, stellites, cellphones, internet, everything. So robots are nor so far

crittergitter01 No need to worry about that. Companies are working on exoskeleton suits that allow humans to accomplish feats of strength and agility that we would otherwise be incapable of. Likewise, cybernetics (or biotics, if you will) could/will one day be so advanced that humans might become like the Six Million Dollar Man - in a manner of speaking, more and more indistinguishable from robots. Deux Ex, anybody?
