The writers said this episode takes place outside the series timeline, so I assume it’s either in an AU or it’s non canon. When I watch this episode, I like to think this is how Star imagines her wand is like on the inside, like when I’m at school and I picture my cats walking on two legs and throwing wild parties.
Alan Oliva the episode takes place outside of the series timeline. I think it was probably something like star tried to make magic pie or ace a test and it summoned a monster. As for this episode I always assume this is is what star thinks happens inside of her wand, like when you leave the room all your toys come to life.
Is it bad if I don’t like this episode because it contradicts what we see in into the wand? Whenever I watch it, I like to think this is how Star imagines her wand is like on the inside.
okay, spider is cool but what about Starco? Star's scream at 0:23 is full of pain and her eyes are full of tears!! and then in 1:26 Marco is calling her just after waking up
I'm all for shipping; but this is literally what two people who care for eachother would do when faced with a monster. They could be lovers or platonic friends. I mean, this could even happen with someone you don't care much for, like a classmate or even a rival. It's a traumatic situation, and people are just going to act like that >.>
@@naers6617 same! Its ok to ship them, but this is a clip about the spider with a top hat and hoe cute he is, but people only says WOAH STARCO SOO ROMANTIC ♡♡, it annoys me.
Or, it'll just be a situation we wandered into and never know how it was resolved. It felt like this segment was moreso to show things from the wand creature's pov, and this was to definitely showcase Spider with a Top Hat.
PotatoEater no I do too. I get it’s non canon but it kinda trashes on the idea that into the wand and toffee set. When I watch this episode I watch it with the interpretation that this is either a fanfic written by starfan13 (which would’ve made for a really awesome twist), an AU, or what star believes happens inside the wand like toy story or the emoji movie (again another awesome twist)
Every time we see her use it, she looks absolutely exhausted afterwards. SvtFoE is based mostly on ideas originating from Anime, and it’s standard in that genre that using magic puts a physical strain on the user. We don’t see a lot of that in SvtFoE, but we do see some evidence for example after her sparring match with Marco in the S3 finale. I suspect that’s why we don’t see SwaTHB used more frequently. It wears her down too much, and if it doesn’t work she’s pretty much gassed.
Did anyone else thought that Battle Spider with a top hat had seemed a little too...easy? By that, I have that feeling that the battle Spider had may have been staged, so that Spider has something to feel good about himself and to give him a sense of worth and purpose. The only person who may not have been in on it, Marco (seeing that he is new to Star's magical lifestyle).
Tiago Lemos this episode takes place outside the established timeline because it aired with hungry Larry which was meant to be the Halloween episode. Even though it is, they’re still gonna air it around Halloween time so they can’t have a plot centric episode attached to it. It’s like the paper from Sponge bob where it’s a super funny episode but it’ll never see the light of day until February because it’s attached to the Valentine’s Day episode. When I watch this episode, I always take that it either is in an AU where that’s the norm or this is what Star imagines happens inside her wand, like the woodland critter Christmas episode from South Park that is super different from all the episodes because it’s a story cartman wrote for school.
Reminder: Daron Nefcy confirmed that ALL the beings in the wand, including Spider with A Top Hat... DIED when Star got rid of magic. Despite the fact... The Laser Puppies were spared, despite also being one of those spells.
This is outside the series timeline. When they make spider episodes they are usually attached to holiday ones as they’ll usually only air around that time so they can’t make a plotcentric episode for it. I assume it’s either some kind of starfan13 fanfic, what star thinks happens inside of her wand, like how a little kid thinks when they leave the room the toys come to life, and/or an AU where this is possible, since this show has said that like rick and morty there are an infinite number of star butterflies.
It’s some sort of spirit creature. Daron Nefcy is a huge anime fan, and she snuck a bunch of Miyazaki and other anime references into the show. The wolf thing is like one of Miyazaki’s nature spirits.
I don’t like this episode. I feel like it could’ve been a good idea but it isn’t funny enough, it makes a lot of errors, and it is only there like Gary’s bath or the paper from Spongebob, which worked there because it’s Spongebob and there is no actual continuity. I like to think this is either how Star thinks her wand acts or a fanfic from starfan13
Rewatching this and I am reminded of how adorable and awesome Spider is. Then I am also reminded Star destroyed all magic and then it hurts.
Something tells me they knew what was coming and just enjoyed every moment they had
That Spider with of Top Hat was just awesome
Yes
I guess it True what they say Big things do come in small Packages
🕷 w/ a 🎩 He sure is
The fact that the wand creatures are actually alive disturbs me.
well, that's their job :/
Henry Zhang ...To be alive?
AubrentheJack No to help Star. They're summoned for her to aide her

Most adorable creature = strongest spell
Sounds like Star logic.
That's crazy
Kai Wolfie lol
Since this is Star Butterfly's spells, I think it makes sense XD
If I remember he got no-diff
I didn't think that hat is also a machine gun, I should get one of those.
Andy Slaughter it's more like a gatling gun nor a minigun.
This episode gave me such a warm feeling I started to cry a little.
_The bullets are tiny hats._
Bullet shells actually 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩
🕷 w/ a 🎩
I'd piss myself if a giant wolf head crashed into my house
Spider with a top hat is my most favorite spell EVER!!! (and also the episode XD)
This was such a good episode.
llkkioijmmm,kokok
what stronger then a spider with a top hat, is a spider with a top hat, and a Lazer gatlin.
I originally thought he could summon stuff with his hat. Lasers are still pretty cool, though.
I really like to know what even happen outside the wand. I mean HOW did they manage to end up fight with THAT?!?

God damn that minigun fires at a 1000 rpm. Very DEVASTATING at close range.
This might have been my favorite episode of season 2 and one of my favorites in general.
0:53 I need to get me one of those 🎩🎩🎩
Why were Star and Marco fighting a giant wolf monster?
yea I wish they would've made an episode about that as well
Can someone explain what just happened? Why were Star & Marco close to dying and why was that beast attacking?
What the- was that one of his side-projects or something?! Geez what he lacks in muscle he more than makes up for with portable artillery development!
Is it bad if I don’t like this episode because it contradicts what we see in into the wand? Whenever I watch it, I like to think this is how Star imagines her wand is like on the inside.
Does the wolf look like a husky or is it just its shadows?

UGHHHH would you guys dont think anything but shipping
@@slayldrm2695 I know right? I mean I adore them both as a ship but this comment is just so annoying right now.. svtfoe isn't just about starco

Prediction: whatever happened with star and Marco it'll be the first episode of the 3rd season😁
It didn't came.

Its gonna be a 2 part episode probably

Let's be honest, it was probably Star's fault somehow
*clears throat* Minigun is not real heavy, he is a gibus minigun
my favorite episode
Peacock would be proud.
I wanna see more whats happening inside stars wand more than seeing star and marco all the time

This got surprisingly dark for a show about an adorable girl with cute powers 😅
Star and marco genuinely could’ve died if it wasn’t for this thing
It's pretty jarring that Star has her most powerful spell and she rarely uses it except on some occasions.
Yeah, this may be the closest Star and Marco came to dying.
Every time we see her use it, she looks absolutely exhausted afterwards. The interaction between the summoned characters was great. They really love SwaTH.
*"WAAAARRR CRRRRYYYYY"*
Love this moment!
I'm Spider with a top hat, and I'm more than a a badass....I'M A MOTHA'FUCKIN T-REX!

Another reason why the finale is garbage...the amount of genocide Star caused is worse than ANYTHING her family did
I feel like we all almost died when a laser cannon cane out of his top hat :P

Crazy that we got no context for what Star and Marco were fighting. Were where they even because that wasn't Marco's house.
Wow.....
Who knew he had a fucking mini gun
cool whats next dragonfly with a fez blast flame thrower in the hat
That Spider is badass!!!

I just notice something... was this a side part of an episode that was already aired?
