Thanks, Wes. Whenever I am in the States I love NPR. It's the closest thing I've found to the CBC, our own national public broadcaster, which shaped me from a very young age. By the time I got a radio announcer job at 16, I already had that style of speaking.
Being 53 it was a godsend when my last campaign was played with a 5e DM who was younger (30s) but comprehended that 'old school' aesthetic in how he judged/DMed our sessions. I'm from this era you describe in the video. These resources are amazing. Just discovering this two part video series lol Thanks for your efforts.
Lucky indeed! I've been fortunate to fall in with a group of folks from mid-40s to mid-50s, so there's a natural tendency to weave that style of play in. I'm still not a fan of superhero model, especially the short and long rest, but it's not easy to find a BFRPG game unless I run it myself (and it's not realistic with my other commitments).
@@toddlyons Amazing - yeah I've seemed to have lucked out just recently with a group of fellow Aussie TTPG-ers who play online - but this game will be focusing more on running OSE/B/X D&D focused gamed in the DM's own world Similar age to me but with online play only. Looking forward to how this works and ready to engage.
Thanks! You absolutely should. On the Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Forums there are regular requests for information on solo gaming BFRPG. The Discord channel recently added a dedicated discussion area for it. So... there is interest and appetite. Please let us know if you release some stuff.
OK. I hear your voice and feel like I’m listening to NPR. It’s like the perfect intonation to be listened to.

Yes! I'm just getting into solo RPGing, and I'd love to see some fresh content for it.
I can see I've got a lot to catch up on on your channel, sir. Looking forward to it! 🤓👊
I'm honoured. Hope you enjoy! I only started making videos September 5th, but I'm trying to release once a week on Wednesdays.
Golden stuff! Thnx 🤓👊
Thanks Ray. 👊
If you do the verification it takes a bit for it to be enabled on the channel. It’s weird.
