007 Goldeneye: Best Movie, Best Video Game based off of a Movie, Best Portrayal of James Bond in all forms of Media, Peak 007 Period! Pierce Brosnan IS James Bond!
Nintendo 64
Yes I agree. So many awesome and interesting scenes in Goldeneye perfect blend of action and non action. I always pay attention to the nuances of dialogue god I fucking love movies so much. They are my escape. Few hits of weed and then i drink a beer slow while watching. Best thing when you don’t want to do hard/bad drugs anymore. Used to do a lot of oxy contin but I’ve been clean for 4 years now. Not going back. I need to stop smoking so much weed though. It’s not good for my lungs. Don’t smoke cigarettes though thank goodness
Best song too
@@runarvollan Yeah, you right! Got the Song on my Spotify Playlist too! RIP Tina Turner 🕊
I watched casino royale I thought it was amazing
But when I watch goldeneye it instinctly become one of my favorite movie of all time
2:20 Miami Face and Scarface ?
This has always been my favourite 007 movie.
*edit* also, the beginning sequence how it ends with the facility exploding then the Intro Song kicks in, 'DUNNNN DUNDUNDUNDUN' gives me chills everytime.
1:40 Bond and Rocky 3
I feel like Goldeneye & Casino Royale are the best two ever made, and they were both directed by Martin Campbell.
it sounds strange, but his Zorro movie is also a masterpiece. Amazing director.
@@FallopiumFilms The Mask of Zorro is fantastic.
I agree. Both are the pinnacle of what Bond should be (for the time).
Absolutely
Agreed.
Been saying this for years. Brilliant movie - also my favorite Bond soundtrack. Brosnan is perfect, Isabella is ridiculously gorgeous. The beginning/end mirror is amazing - never noticed that. Smooth move having the N64 music playing throughout. You never disappoint, Eric. Dying to see a video on Heat from you
Your comments always brighten my day
I love Goldeneye because it felt like the first 'modern' Bond film, between 89 and 95, it definitely felt like movies had changed alot in how they were filmed and presented
1962 is Dr No
You don't have to change my mind. It's always been my favorite.
The Janice group was a real menace 😂😂
I am invincible.
"XENA! I. CANT. BREEEEAAAATTTHHEEE!"
Your bond film essays absolutely rock. I love how you incorporate the time and settings in which the films were made. To understand a Bond film’s style is to understand the era it was made in.
you rock
I remember watching this movie as a kid. I loved it back then but I appreciate it more now. Goldeneye is my favorite, but Casino Royale is top tier.
This is a superb movie, but I think Tomorrow Never Dies is even better.
Goldeneye Absolutely amazing movie.
Realized last night after I watched the whole thing for the first time while wearing my nice Xbox headset🎧 Makes the movie so much more intense and impactful. More gripping too. Like having the high definition surround sound of a theater but in both your ears. I turn volume down during loud as fuck scenes so I don’t fuck up my hearing or blow my eardrums lol and then turn it up during quiet scenes or scenes where there’s only 2 people talking Gotta be carful. Constantly adjusting the volume up and down accordingly so I don’t ruin my hearing. Can’t unring that bell!
This entire video was worth it just for your analysis of the mirroring of the beginning and end of the movie.
This bond film is the best and I love it this is a huge part of my childhood. 13:52 I love Xenia.
The fact it came out the year I was born on top of it being better than any other Bond movie is why it’s my fave.
Bronson was fucking dope I don’t get why he never gets in the conversation for best Bond. Goldeneye is easily the best GAME tho as I remember playing with Mr. Nye back in the day. Great video, much appreciated.
"You were expecting someone else?" I wonder if that was a reference to Colin Baker's version of the Doctor. Goldeneye was my 1st Bond movie and therefore my favorite. The director of this would go on to make my 2nd favorite Bond film
This video is amazing and has to be one of my favourite videos that you’ve made!! The editing, writing, jokes and overall presentation is so well done and improved upon so much compared to your previous videos!! Great job bro :D
Top 5 best Bond films in order:
1 From Russia With Love
2 Casino Royale
3 On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (totally underrated)
4 Skyfall
5 Goldfinger
This is a very solid list
25:45 not the head of the Russian Government, but the Defence Minister, which is also pretty bad though
A top tier analysis my good man, extraordinarily well done!
This film also spawned the console game that helped validate first person shooters on the console. You don’t have Halo and others without Goldeneye
Many hours of my childhood were enriched by it
Martin campbell made the best bond movies ever goldeneye and casino Royale
Damn Bro, u nailed it ❤
I've been watching all the movies recently. I spin a wheel and see which one I get. The first one was Goldeneye- I knew the moment it ended that shit was tight. I have like 9 more movies and nothing has topped it.
And Jurassic Park
This video kicks ass. Good job. I really like your enthusiasm. I'm going to rewatch this movie tonight.
I think GOLDENEYE is also the best BOND movie
My top 5:
1. The Spy Who Loved Me
2. Casino Royal
3. From Russia With Love
4. Goldeneye
5. Goldfinger
Very good list
I agree. Brosnan looks SO SO James Bond accordingly and the movie is great as well. One of my favorite Bond movie.
Golden Eye was such a Great Bond Film .Most guys Identify their favorite Bond Actors with at what point In thier life or comming of age reaching manhood That specific Actor who at the time was in fact at the helm of 007.For me it was the very last Brosnan film Die another Die and Enter Daniel Craig. But I digress.Golden Eye had that unique Bond film quality.(When they got it Right Such as (Golden Eye ,Casino Royal, Quantum of Solace and yes eve No time to die!)The villain/Anti heroe that was 006 Alec Travellion (Shawn Bean)Was the perfect villain for the perfect plot and addition to the franchise.Hell I even thin Shawn Beand would have made an awesome 007.But it was not to be .And yes the women were Smoking hot in this film. Great Video!!,BTW on a little side note I actually Bunji jumped off the (Golden Eyey Dam)Verzasca Dam in Switzerland. It has become a tourist for years and you can to this day take the same plunge that 007 did.Its Fucking awesome!!!@
Thirst!
Thirst for more Fallopium Films videos.
I agree ..yet..I saw Goldeneye in cinema ..1st Bond movie..but The Living Daylights was my all time Bond movie before..the spy story ..the music..the cold war kinda theme in it...but yeah i can agree
3:30 I just saw Lenin
Great video! And you sound like a young Dan Carlin! 😂
I am hesitant to agree. It was the first bond movie I watched that I was old enough to know what was going on so I might just be a little nostalgic. That said I can't think of one that is as good start to finish. Certainly great scenes that might be better in isolation in the others but this one is a good full package. Daniel Craig's bond was a bit too gritty and the movies are not nearly as memorable.
Also the N64 game is probably the best game based on a movie ever.
But when I thought Gottfried John as a Russian officer, I thought no, there's the German officer who played adjutant to Erwin Rommel in "The night of the Fox" 1990. I thought it was a miscast at the time.
Well done sir
Thanks
Welcome
Great video!👁🫵🏼
Well... Actually, THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS(1987) is the best James Bond film! A great movie! GoldenEye(1995) is just a good movie.
A forgivable, yet ultimately wrong opinion lol. I kid, to each their own
You sound like Corey from Pawn Stars, are you from Nevada?
Yeah that’s me
Brosnan was great but the later films storys kinda did him a disservice.
Also Ourumovs gun kills the russian Soilder but apprently 006 is fine after getting shot by it?
they got worse as they went on for sure. I think Tomorrow and World do make some interesting social commentaries tho. But in terms of film quality, they really off after Goldeneye.
GoldenEye, Casino Royale and Skyfall are the greatest Bond films of all time
I respectfully disagree, I think OHMSS, LTK an CR are still the best, but I still do respect this opinion. Hope you continue making movie reviews man!
RUSSIAN BOT ALERT!
But seriously, I can understand where you're coming from. There are 6 or 7 Bond films that I think are the best, all these you've mentioned are in this group. For me, Goldeneye is the one that stands out above the others because of its social commentary. It was just a brilliant way to handle the changing world. It got "deeper" than any other bond film--and for a guy as obsessed with finding the "meaning" as I am, this counts for a lot.
The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill and GoldenEye are three of the best Bondfilms in the series and Dalton is thee best Bond. Bond is not supposed to be light and flawless. Thats why Brosnans performances pales in comparison to Daltons.
You say Leon influenced the editing in GoldenEye. I think the reason why the movie made you think of Leon is because they shared the same composer - Eric Serra.
The cinematography is great - Thats for sure.
So is the casting. Even minor roles such as Miskhin, Boril and Valentin. Very good casting decisions all the way down to the naval officer giving a speech on the warship in the beginning.
Actually this film have a lot in common with The Living Daylights - thematically and action wise. Daylights too has some superb cinematography.
Love GoldenEye but can't exactly gloss over the ever perpetuated "overreliance on CGI" myth. The Phantom Menace had more practical effects than the OT combined. Both practical and CGI can be done well or poorly. I especially think the mo-cap for Grievous was executed well in Revenge of The Sith. Some of the prequel CGI has certainly aged but it was groundbreaking for its time, alongside T2 and the like. GoldenEye N64 is also clunky and dated in some ways but timelessly enjoyable, much like the movie itself. The Die Another Day para sailing sequence does look a little silly however.
Agreed!
1:50 Russians defecting Bond planning 911. 😂😂😂😂😂
16:30 where ?
Do you plan on doing a vid for "Tomorrow" or "World?" GoldenEye & Die Another Day are def the most well known of Brosnan's era. But the other two seem to get thrown by the wayside a lot. Sadly.
Both are great in my opinion but I’m not sure if I’ll ever do a video
@@FallopiumFilms OK. I ask cuz this GoldenEye vid was so well done. The editing. The writing. Funny and informative. Great job. And I'm not even a huge fan of GoldenEye, but Martin Campbell's Mask of Zorro & Casino Royale are two of my all-time favorites.
It is my favourite bond movie also. It is in the perfect goldilocks in terms of bond movies.
Good, but don't agree.
The Spy Who Loved Me.
Yes agreed👻
Best bond film according to me is "Casino Royale" it had good story, good acting and grounded yet awesome action
I respect the hell out of this opinion. It’s a close number 2 in my book
Goldeneye and casino Royale are the best
I’ve always struggled to enjoy Goldeneye & I’m not sure why. Everything on paper is great but something about it has never clicked. I think Casino Royale is substantially better & even from Brosnan I prefer the world is not enough.
I wasn’t born until 10 years later after Goldeneye came out so I obviously never saw it in the time / mindset it was made for. It looks really old to me & the score is awful.
I agree with a lot of that. I highly recommend The Mask of Zorro (if you haven't seen it already). It's also directed by Martin Campbell & not quite as sensational as Casino Royale, but pretty damn close.
Yes, the best BROSNAN Bond film! But by NO MEANS the best Bond film overall. For me, not even in the top 10--Sorry.
@dbhgray I strongly disagree lol. GoldenEye is easily in the top 10.
Both Martin Campbell's Bond films are my favorites.
my top 3 Bond films are Casino Royale, GoldenEye and Skyfall.
Dalton > Brosnan
Daniel Craig > every other bond
@@SurajGupta_3D
16:30 when
@@SurajGupta_3D I agree
Craig > Brosnan > Dalton > Connery > Moore > Lazenby
Yes, both Craig and Brosnan are the best Bond imo.
most unnecessarily overrated
The reason this Bond film was badly recieved was because of the 'girl power' element, guys don't want to see a 'You go girl' film when the go to see a Bond film, there are many simp guys who promote this type of film but you want to see Bond being bond not Bond the simp.
No on who goes to see romance film want blood and gore they want dancing and singing and romantic involvements, Dirty Dancing didn't have Baby slowly eating her days old used maxi pad.
Hold up... you're seriously saying Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye meets the definition of a simp?
Craig is the biggest simp of all the Bonds
Agreed, yes Isabella aka Natalya it's one gorgeous hott programer. She is with out of doubt my favorite Bonds Girl from the franchise 💯, Thanks for the content.
Timothy Dalton was signed a 3 film contract and due to legal issues with Pathe and MGM, Dalton was unable to get his third movie before his contract expired in 1993... By 1994, when Brocolli was getting ready for Goldeneye, Dalton didn't want to do Bond anymore, so we got Pierce Brosnan. Brosnan was also supposed to replace Roger Moore but NBC renewed his contract with Remington Steele, the TV show he was attached to...
17:40 props to move others along
Nice video, can tell you’ve put a lot of effort into this however you make it sound like they wanted to get rid of Dalton, they wanted him to carry on however legal issues meant too much time passed between 89 and 95 so Dalton no longer wanted to play Bond. He was lined up for Goldeneye and a few other scripts for scrapped bond movies before they settled on Brosnan for Goldeneye.
Its Martin Campbell imo who also directed Casino Royale, Vertical Limit, and The Foreigner just a great action director that can still give out a great plot. This Bond has maybe the best theme, definitely best intro best plot next to Casino Royale not to crazy villian has a simple goal. best bond girls great acting best score Eric serra does a lot with luc besson films and converted to the best shooter for N64...this movie is 🍿 every time I watch it lol
The first Bond film I saw on tv when I was younger. And I agree this is one of the best Bond films ever made.
16:30 Visionary indeed
