LOVE your prints on the stairs! Happy 6th anniversary!! We hit 35 this year and I think it's rust after that many years lol. Hubby says about us getting comms as we ride together all the time, but not sure he'd want to hear my random rambling while we are out.

Haha comms for us just make the time go by faster even though I'm sure shaun turns his off at times 🤣🤣 .. the pics on the stairs are the originals of my own art work there's about 6 more but no space for them

I'd been using a no name BT2 Bluetooth motorcycle headset for years and it had been brilliant until I broke the charging port so I purchased a pair of FODSPORTS M1-S plus for me and my daughter and they are absolutely amazing. Work seemless with my phone/sat nav and intercom. The batteries last ages and are so easy to use with gloves on. Why pay 3 times as much for a big brand name I say.

Some Comm manufacturers do different sets, because of that echo problem..., that's one set for riding with pillion and another set for hooking up with your partner if he/she is on his/her own bike.... at least, that was the case about 4 years ago when I was looking for my Comms. Hope all goes well over the water, enjoy yourselves, Steve.

Nowt wrong with cheap Comms. Used mine for years. I've had the same set for me and the missus for 10 years now and still going strong. All for 40 quid the pair

If you are stopping in Orleans, might I suggest at Clermont-Ferrand, heading SW over the Massif Central ancient volcanoes. There are several cols over 1000m. Specially Le Puy Mary to Aurillac (on route), it's the one that a gal flashed her Bristols at me. Ha Ha !

Maybe try a lil extra spongey thingy over each others boom pieces(mics) this should help to eliminate the echo.. worth a try.

Good luck both.... cheap is better than expensive stuff. Comms sounds are excellent for the price you paid.. people always go for 500 .600. Pounds comms just don't understand myself.. go for the name i suppose and don't realise there getting ripped off... safe journeys guy's enjoy......

Right past my old local there, Crown & Cushion, when I lived in Sankey. There's been some memorable nights in there, used to be known by many as the Bermuda Triangle because you could go in for a quick one and not be seen until morning.
The echo is slight and doesn't intrude on Faye's speech to any extent to make a video unwatchable. There's loads on here with far worse audio.

Good to see you both getting prepped for the tour 👍 I was just wondering if being linked to a phone causes the delay 🤔 My wife and I used Freedconn Comms with no issues, then my son bought me the Cardo Edge Duo for my birthday, we use one each. Now to link with my wife's unit we need to do it through the phone for the Cardo to link to another Bluetooth device. She's now getting an echo through her speakers. Hope the weather holds for you and you both have a relaxing time in France.

if your mic level and speaker level are adjustable you should be able to minimise any echo your getting .I had a similar problem on my senna 10c pro played with the mic/speaker volumes just about got rid of any echos

How mad is that? The comms work perfect bike to bike, then put them both together on the same bike and (only sometimes) you get an echo?? I'm a technophobe, and have no idea about the work involved, or what I'm talking about really, but couldn't you use your old Drift to record (say) Faye's audio? Even her video?? I'm pretty sure RV used to do something along those lines back in the day...? Anyways, have a great tour.... I have no idea how you guys manage those high mileages in a day...maybe a video for the future on how you 'Manage' that?

Hi Faye, Shaun Check out Route 66 Biker Friendly B&B at Bussiere-Poitevine on your way to La Moto it's not far from Oradour sur Glane, by the way Shaun any chance of dropping a keg of Carling off on the way down. 😋

Orleans is pronounced _Orly-on_ by the French. They've no idea what Orleans is - DAMHIK! You've probably decided, but go towards Poitier as there are some great roads and places to visit in that area.
Looks like you're going to be riding in the rain on your trip down to the Chunnel. I use a very light nylon waterproof (navvies one from B&Q) over the top of my jacket and it's fine for the rain. Though, it can get a bit warm at times so take it off *_as soon as it stops_* raining. Weather in France for this weekend and next week looks like a normal French summer - Just watched TF1 weather.
Lots of people asking about the Crit'Air extortion system - you need to do a 2 minute video on getting one.

Haha absolutely... trouble is I've been touring Europe for 33yrs now but hate sounding like a know it all , me and Faye have stopped in poitiers a fair few times now (vid prob a few years back) but tbh the main objective on this 1 is getting to Toulose by 2pm on the sunday

You're getting the echo because your both picking up each others voice in each others helmet mic if that makes sense? Put a finger from a rubber glove over the microphone sponges and give that a try.
