Oğulcan Yılmaz - Cavatina from Aleko (CSOTW, 12th June 2023)

Oğulcan Yılmaz performing "Cavatina" from Rachmaninov's opera Aleko during the second round of the 2023 Cardiff Singer Of The World competition.
The Turkish bass-baritone was a member of the opera studio at the Bavarian State Opera from 2018 to 2020 and last performed there in September 2020 as Lothario in Ambroise Thomas’s 'Mignon'. Other roles at the Bavarian State Opera included Ibn-Hakia (lolanta), José Castro (La fanciulla del West), 2nd Brabantian Elder (Lohengrin) and Muff (The Bartered Bride).
His repertoire also includes roles such as Dandini (La Cenerentola), Don Giovanni and Leporello (Don Giovanni) and Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore).
