But it finished, I wanted more. That was absolutely wonderful. When listening to John’s voice, it’s pitch perfect and one thing I noticed he’s done all through his career, he had that special interaction with his audience, it was never only about him. He made them feel part of his performance as he’s done all his life. I actually had to grab a tissue when he sang Jamie. His little brother was so cute, his mother, a beautiful mum and I can see John looks like his dad as he got older. A beautiful family, a wonderful video and John, who’s personality has never changed. All the fame never went to his head. John could ride a horse really well even back then. Omg, it’s after 3.30 am, and I’m waffling on lol. Absolutely loved it - 😊💞
Love your waffling Bernadette I could go on for hours about John as well. Becoming an old girl now but still loving this man. Please dont ask me was always my favourite and then he released many more.
I was 4 that year... living in THE midwest of the USA. It took 49 years to know about John. Wish i knew that "new" singer for my favorite band, LRB, was John. We just didn't hear about him here. 2019, i saw a reaction video of LRB, with John singing lead, and down the rabbit hole i went... Thank you for this!
I remember seeing him sing for free at Luna Park Milson's Point around 1972 or 1973. My mum would go off to the music shop to buy piano sheet music and remember her playing Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head, we were all singing that song. Get well soon, proud we Australia have such a legend.
@@adamstolfo you are amazing please keep them coming. I never saw John singing live because I can’t do crowds but OMG I watched everything he did on T V. I love your work!!
I loved Johnny /John as a 11 yr old, saw him in Charlie Girl (My birthday treat from my parents) Followed all the way from the 60's till present now in the UK. I have all his early Albums, Loved woman, One Sadie, Rose Coloured Glasses he sang with Alison Durban too.
I thought I knew pretty much everything about John, never heard him sing Woman though. What a great version. Then follows it up with one of my favourites, Looking through a tear.
This is a lovely & informative little video which I thank you for, since he was unknown to me until a couple days ago. I enjoy their history as well as the musical performances.
Adam thank you..so many memories here watching this 52 years later. I would have watched it at the time, being 12yo .. I was in love with Johnny and was certain I would marry him..however, not to be. Most of these songs I had forgotten, but listening to them, the words all came back. He was so young, 21 guess yet so professional and full of personality..these were innocent times, a different world..
I watched every minute with a smile on my face. How precious John was then and still is. Love him to bits and hope all is going well for him and he is making a very good recovery. ♥♥
The live recording of Everything is Out of Season featured on Anthology 2 appeared briefly in the television special "John Farnham - The Farnham Years" hosted by Molly Meldrum (approx 13:05-13:32). It would be awesome be see the whole clip uploaded on here Adam. Think you can swing that? Cheers for all your brilliant work so far.
John Farnham Parents: Rose Pemberton, John Farnham, Sr. John Farnham Sr. and Rose Pemberton welcomed him into the world in Dagenham, England. Steven is his younger brother, while Jean and Jaqueline (Jackie) are his sisters. Before his family immigrated to Australia in 1959 to live in Melbourne, Victoria, Farnham spent the first ten years of his life in the United Kingdom.
@@ChrisFirth-do2sm yes I noticed John’s mother lost her English accent completely which sometimes isn’t common. But neighbour I had as a child who had a very strong Australian accent. He only told me he was born in South Hampton UK when I was an adult. He completely lost his English accent, so yes it definitely does happen.
His talent is unbelievably great!

This is the Farnham of my Wonder Years....
John farnham is iconic. He is the definition of singing.

@@tonyb4115 No worries Tony. It is indeed amazing! Thanks for watching! ☺
I remember him as a young man when he won King of pop and count myself so lucky I got to see him sing with that amazing voice twice.❤

My favourite is Scratchin Ma Head....there were a lot of fun and funny bits and pieces in the early years.
Looking through a tear is one of my favourites ( of his " johnny farnham " era ) too . ♑️✍️🇸🇯🇦🇺

Thanks so much for the kind words… but I’m afraid not. I only have access to what everyone else does in regards to that song.
thankyou for taking the trouble to bring these over from fb
My pleasure Devi
Wow! This is awesome! Thanks! :-))
No worries! Thanks Fran. ☺
Looks like Johnny got all the good looks.. 😁
I was 4 years away from being born.
Comedian Buster Fiddes is the scraggly looking conductor.
Hey Adam
Have u got more stuff from the early years please upload so into John it's not funny thanks 😊
Have you checked out the latest video on my channel Julie? 😉
@@adamstolfo
Hi adam sure I've checked out some other clips of John there funny as and good enjoying them there great thanks heaps👍😁
I feel sorry for him because these aren't the songs he wanted to sing.
Actor/comedian Buster Fiddess is pretending to conduct the orchestra. John was 21 years old here.
Home story extremely odd....mum with aussie accent ...not hint of pom....so if your lying about that ....what else are you lying about.???

Some people pick up accents, very quickly. They had been there 11 years by that time.
