Final corner final lap final face i remember the tension i felt shouting making up a whole bunch of noise watching this live. A truly standout memory from my earlier years big thanks big zeddie for allowing me to relive and remember these moments much love 👏🏾🙏🏾💙
Final corner of the final lap of the final race of the end of the ITV era and also the final full month of my grandads life before he passed in January 2009. He said he wanted to see Lewis win the championship before he died and he got what he wanted. I remember him calling Massa every name under the sun when he was on screen after losing the title. 😂
I stopped watching F1 in late 2006 and i then i remember randomly catching this race live. Needless to say, it made me a fan once again, fucking incredible.
What a superb race. Massa's family went from hero to zero in super fast time. It's unfortunate really, over the season a point lost here and there made all the difference.
I heard the McLaren team put to much Pressure in to Hamilton’s Intermediate Tyres that’s why he was struggling for grip even though he had the right Tyres on.
I saw this race live with my dad and i've never seen him so dissapointed ever since. All that celebrarion in 13 seconds only for him to stare at the screen for 6min. Meanwhile i was just looking at him trying to understand what he was feeling 😂
I was on the edge of my seat I thought it was over then Martin Brundle said is that Glock is that Glock going Slowly and I saw Glock before he said that. Incredible final race! Incredible Final Title showdown great tension drama excitement relief.
I was on the edge of my seat great drama tension pressure and when I saw Glock and Hamilton passed Glock for 5th I was very happy and relieved YES Brilliant! I said Amazing.incredible!
Merry Christmas! Great upload for today. I haven't watched this since it happened but it's amazing to see how tight this championship was. Could have gone either way at the end. Great to see Vettel start to grow and the ever present skill of Alonso getting second. I still feel sorry for Massa, he put his heart on his sleeve and did all he could, he was incredibly unlucky throughout the season but Lewis was more consistent throughout the year. Steve Ryder was prophetic at the end, only one other championship ending has been as exciting, 2021 when Max pipped Lewis. Looking forward to more BBC years❤
This was the last race my grandad saw before he passed away in January 09. He said he wanted to see one more British driver become world champion before he died and he got what he wanted. RIP Grandad
Ferrari win in the Constructor's championship was also the last for the team (to date), Jean Todt's last race as Ferrari's Team Boss before becoming the next FIA President replacing Max Mosley until retiring at the end of '21.
Honestly and Truthfully, It must’ve been the rain getting heavier, from what I remember all those years ago, In the last few laps of the race, Timo Glock’s Toyota bravely gambled to stay on ‘Slick’ Tyres whilst the track was still slightly damp and he unfortunately Aquaplaned going into the ‘Mergulho’ corner on the Final Lap leaving a spacious gap for Lewis Hamilton to overtake him to retrieve 5th Place going into the last 2 corners, finishing in the Top 6 as he took the Chequered Flag, Lewis Hamilton for the First Time since 1996 with Damon Hill, became the Youngest Ever British ’Formula 1 World Driver’s Championship Champion’ at the age of 23!
Core memory watching this live with my parents. First British F1 driver to win the WDC since I was born (Hill won his ~5 months before I was born) and my goodness what a crazy race to do it. We were up and down all the way and the screaming in my house when he overtook Glock was truly deafening!
Thanks BZ!! Truly an iconic race. I'll never forget watching the Ferrari mechanic punch the wall as Massa's family was still celebrating. Merry Christmas, thank you for your work. 👍👍🏁
I was a big Hamilton Fan and a McLaren Fan so I was really pleased Hamilton won the Title and the way he did it in Dramatic Circumstances incredible amazing! He caught Glock up and passed him on the Last Corner on the Last Lap. Amazing! Tense drama on edge of your seat stuff!
Magnificent Interlagos and magnificent Massa! Even 16 years later after this dramatic season finale it's still one of the best season finale ever with a two top title contenders. Merry Christmas Zeddie, see you next year with 2009! 🏁🎄

I still can't believe 16 years later that none of Massa's friends/family/supporters in the Ferrari garage were like "Let's not celebrate too soon, we've not won anything until Hamilton crosses the line in a position of 6th or lower"! That way they would have avoided a broken monitor in the garage at the very least!! (I'm guessing they were too focused on Hamilton failing to pass Vettel and didn't spot them both passing Glock). Great upload for Xmas, many thanks!!
Those last six laps felt like the longest six laps ever. One minute I was like, I don't believe it, Lewis is gonna lose the title in the last race again, next minute I was leaping up and down and screaming myself hoarse like a madman. Incredible title decider which was fair and above board
Merry Christmas! See you in '2009'!✌
Do you have 2000 2002 and 2001 quail and highlights after 2009 please
Good luck finding source for 09
Thank you for making it good again. 🎄👍👍🤟🤙
Im waiting for 2010!😂🙏🏻
👀👀👀👀👀
Thanks for these Races from the 2008 season even more so this one.
His Last Podium with McLaren was also in 2003.
The most dramatic title decider, changed hands with two corners left.
James Allen's final primetime commentary and ITV's last grand prix broadcast and what a grand prix to go out on for both.
James Allen was such a brilliant lead commentator. Would've been amazing if he was able to commentate on other great years like 2010 or 2012
Imagine if he'd managed an extra year for Button to win the title. He would've had an aneurysm 😂
Yes totally agree.
Yes Brilliant I was saying at the time I was over the moon. Shouting yes he’s done it.
Oh, the thumbnail! Is that Glock, is that Glock??? 😂
I was mega pleased and happy saying just amazing brilliant.
Extraordinary Circumstances!
Massa said at the end it’s racing this is F1 like Murray Walker said anything can happen.
Fastest Lap Felipe Massa on Lap 36 a 1:13.736.
Very Strong Result for Alonso to end the season with.
Alonso 2nd Renault.
Don’t think I’ve seen a more beautifully timed upload, love these recaps!
Loved it at the time. Great stuff.
I cannot wait for 09
I felt for Massa would have been great for him to win the Championship at his home Race final Race.
BigZ, please 2000 season whenever. Please 😊
One of my favourite seasons.
Amazing Race.
Merry Christmas BigZ thank you so much again! What a race and to this day never felt tension like it in thr last few laps couldnt watch the TV.
Kubica unlapped himself forcing Hamilton to run wide while letting him past.
Incredible finish James Allen a bit lost for words.
Brilliant
Fastest Lap Felipe Massa on Lap 36.
Could you reupload the highlights from the 2002 Britsh GP again? Please.
Alonso's performance in this one does not get talked about enough.
You will see anything like this what a finish great stuff tension drama edge of your seat stuff desperation.
They put to much pressure into Hamilton’s Intermediate Tyres that’s why he didn’t have much grip.
A christmas gift!! Thanks zeddie for this year!!
Nail biting stuff.
Final corner final lap final face i remember the tension i felt shouting making up a whole bunch of noise watching this live. A truly standout memory from my earlier years big thanks big zeddie for allowing me to relive and remember these moments much love 👏🏾🙏🏾💙

@jacobmassey3897 🤣🤣🤣🤣 grandpops got his wish I love that
@@kingkyle.0.0.7 I just realised this wouldn't have been the last full month of my grandads life because it wasn't in December but anyway....lol 😆
Yes I was the same great drama tension! On edge of my seat.
Strong performance by Alonso 2nd from 6th on the Grid.
Alonso finishing 2nd for Renault.
Great drive by Massa and Alonso.
kinda surprised that a day later, FOM hasnt nuked this with copyright strikes
and yes, it was Glock
I watched this with my Mum when it was on Live.
I stopped watching F1 in late 2006 and i then i remember randomly catching this race live.
Needless to say, it made me a fan once again, fucking incredible.
Sebastian Vettel had no idea he was interfering with the Championship at the time.
What a superb race. Massa's family went from hero to zero in super fast time. It's unfortunate really, over the season a point lost here and there made all the difference.
Was superb
Thank you ZeddieClaus and merry Christmas to everybody.
It was such a fun race and seeing these highlights really brought back that fun.
Merry Christmas
Timo Glock was running 4th Finished 6th.
To win the Championship in these Circumstances just incredible! Amazing! Jaw Dropping Great Drama and Tension Pressure. Great stuff
The best title show down possibly.
My Mum liked it too. My Dad went to bed boring!
Trulli started 2nd Finished 8th.
Incredible Final.
I think Raikkonen was doing it deliberately backing the field up like James Allen said.
Merry Christmas Big Z thank you for bringing us these classic races this year❤🎉🎉
It went down to the Wire!!! Last Corner Last Lap.
Hamilton was crying in the Garage he was so emotional! Bit to much to take in.
Tension on edge of your seat stuff! Pure Drama! Great Drama! While I was watching it Live. Even now.
Vettel’s 2nd strongest result of the season.
Shame Kovalainen didn’t have a better season.
Merry Christmas Zeddie! Thanks again for sharing 😊
I heard the McLaren team put to much Pressure in to Hamilton’s Intermediate Tyres that’s why he was struggling for grip even though he had the right Tyres on.
Watched it all, knew how it ended beforehand, still got goosebumps and I wanted Massa/Ferrari to win all along. WHAT. A. FINISH.
Traumatic.
I'd forgotten quite how crazy the end was.
I saw this race live with my dad and i've never seen him so dissapointed ever since.
All that celebrarion in 13 seconds only for him to stare at the screen for 6min.
Meanwhile i was just looking at him trying to understand what he was feeling 😂
Assuming he was a Massa/Ferrari fan then 😅
@@lukeguilfoyle2425 technically yes, considering he only cheers for our countryman xD
Best Christmas gift 🎉 thank yoi!
People hated Glock for this.
At least Massa won the race with a great drive and Kimi won the championship with Ferrari the year before l
It was tense edge of your seat stuff at the time. Desperation.
I would love the return of brazil as a final race of the season.
@RyanMonks-s2i - Me too. Interlagos is a far better circuit than Abu Dhabi
I was on the edge of my seat I thought it was over then Martin Brundle said is that Glock is that Glock going Slowly and I saw Glock before he said that. Incredible final race! Incredible Final Title showdown great tension drama excitement relief.
To win the Championship in these circumstances! Incredible amazing
Strange that Glock didn’t pit. This Rce was amazing what a climax great tension drama what an incredible finish. Went down to the Wire!!
He gained 2 places in the end by not pitting. He wanted to box on the penultimate lap but the pit lane was already closed and full of reporters.
I was on the edge of my seat great drama tension pressure and when I saw Glock and Hamilton passed Glock for 5th I was very happy and relieved YES Brilliant! I said Amazing.incredible!

Edge of seat drama!
Quite sure he was.
This was the last race my grandad saw before he passed away in January 09. He said he wanted to see one more British driver become world champion before he died and he got what he wanted. RIP Grandad
Probably the last lap of this GP wasn't good for your granddads health. Cheers from Brazil!
@@jacobmassey3897 Now he is a 7 Time World Champion. And won more Races than Schumacher.
End of an era, start of another. Last race with Grooved tires, last WDC for McLaren to date, & the first championship of Lewis’s 7. Ahh, good times
Ferrari win in the Constructor's championship was also the last for the team (to date), Jean Todt's last race as Ferrari's Team Boss before becoming the next FIA President replacing Max Mosley until retiring at the end of '21.
Is that Glock is that Glock going slowly?!?.....
Alonso 2nd Strong Drive Top Driver.
Winning the drivers championship at Sau Paulo wouldve been the dream ending for Massa. But no, the thumbnail says it all. 😅
If Glock pitted for Tyres Massa would be World Champion.
Is it known what happened to Glock? Did he have an issue with the car, or was it just the rain getting heavier?
He didnt stop to change tires, rain got worse, he was on slicks, and could barely keep control of his car.
Look up his onboard.
Core memory watching this live with my parents. First British F1 driver to win the WDC since I was born (Hill won his ~5 months before I was born) and my goodness what a crazy race to do it. We were up and down all the way and the screaming in my house when he overtook Glock was truly deafening!
We’re about the same age/born around similar times I was going crazy too watching the race whilst I was at church lol
Woke up to a f1 highlights clip you the man big Z merry Christmas 🎄
Best title decider ever until 2021. I consider this the best champship title of Hamilton as he had to fight for it
A great Qualifying performance by Jarno Trulli in the Toyota.
Thanks BZ!! Truly an iconic race. I'll never forget watching the Ferrari mechanic punch the wall as Massa's family was still celebrating. Merry Christmas, thank you for your work. 👍👍🏁
Timo should have secured a drive at McLaren after backing off for Lewis.....Nice work 😜
I was a big Hamilton Fan and a McLaren Fan so I was really pleased Hamilton won the Title and the way he did it in Dramatic Circumstances incredible amazing! He caught Glock up and passed him on the Last Corner on the Last Lap. Amazing! Tense drama on edge of your seat stuff!
Hamilton tried his hardest to Pass Vettel. He said after Vettel went past him he was just completely focused on Vettel and overtaking him.
That must've pissed the British F1 fans back in those days, seeing these ads during the race coverage.
What a race. Hall of fame of motorsport for sure. Chills still to this day
Magnificent Interlagos and magnificent Massa! Even 16 years later after this dramatic season finale it's still one of the best season finale ever with a two top title contenders. Merry Christmas Zeddie, see you next year with 2009! 🏁🎄
I watched the race at my Mums house.
Merry Christmas and thanks for all the uploads sir, watched this instead of Lorraine Kelly while opening presents 😂
good decision! 😅

At the time was very happy that Hamilton won the Championship got 5th overtook Glock. But I felt for Massa so Cruel.
They put to much pressure into Hamilton’s Tyres that’s why he was struggling for grip.
I still can't believe 16 years later that none of Massa's friends/family/supporters in the Ferrari garage were like "Let's not celebrate too soon, we've not won anything until Hamilton crosses the line in a position of 6th or lower"!
