I lost my husband a 22yrs of age. I’m raising our two children. I educated myself in that time. I’m not the only one.
I see young people taking on student debt. To better their lives
My grandparents told me you should always respect the elders. When the respect is earned.

I was lucky that I had grants and scholarships when I began attending a university. I had a husband that helped.
When he passed away. I had no other recourse but to take out student loans.
I took out loans. Out of necessity not a lot. Under $20,000. I was over $40,000 when the debt forgiveness began. They didn’t pay mine off. My parents did. After they sold their house.
The company that owned my loan was owned by Erik Prince, Betsy DeVos’ brother. That company sold it to someone else. A company owned by Erik Prince.
Last I heard he divested himself of all student loan companies. But the practice continues.
I worked in the school system in my state. I knew teachers that owed over $100,000. Many worked two jobs. I knew one that danced in a club. She did not strip. But she could earn $500 a night.
I get angry when baby boomers. How much did it cost for them to go to college. One semester for me to attend was over $8,000. Not including books. Housing my first year.
In the past ten years tuition for undergrad has increased 51.71%. For grad 39.72please don’t judge Gen Z and Millennials by our desire for help.
If government offered to pay off your house. Would you say no?

Did anyone notice that no one gave any specifics at all and just regurgitated talking points and generalized statements which don't actually mean anything? I heard another voter interviewed after the debate in Atlanta, she said "Biden is bad, but I will vote for him because that is what everyone in my community is voting for". This is the opposite of Democracy if you don't make voting decisions independently on your own.

Civil Rights, Women's Rights, Workers Rights, such as they are, are the work of generations.. At every turn, current Republicans are attempting to roll them back. Never has trump entered the mix. His lies and ineptitude were my first turn off. Learning that he used the office to enrich himself angers me.

Your goal is ultimately dissuade voters from thinking critically about the facts because it is polarizing for a reason! Polarization gets people to actually talk about the problems, think critically, and figure out what is actually a better answer. You know why? Because for the last few elections especially, the U.S. has changed a lot, and reasonable people are connecting the dots that there is a lot of reason to doubt the interests, abilities, and biases of these two men, who are frankly old, already served a term in office, and have just been bickering over the position.
"Vote so and so because it's the OBVIOUS choice." Give me a break. Young people need to face these facts and engage in polarized discussions or their biases will never be overturned to help them see the situation more clearly.
Vote for who you have researched and feel is going to do less damage... it's an unfortunate reality because Americans can't think on their feet to try and vote for candidates that aren't just angry old men, so we're stuck with the same problems, blaming each other, same two party system, and absolutely no understanding of both sides. Just whatever you want to believe is true and enforcing it on the other "side."
