I went to Sheffield University and I remember being very nervous before I started because I had gone to a Jewish school and wondered if I would fit in, it's so great that you're addressing issues like this and I am sure this video will reassure lots who are joining university who are dedicated to faith
Really interesting video. Great to see you all getting on well. I went to uni just over 5 years back and am not religious at all. I am respectful of those that are, but in my case I felt they weren't respectful of me. Constantly trying to convert me and invite me to missions as some 'sinner' - ouch. Some of the 'high Anglican' or roman catholic ones were better, but the 'CU' scared me. But it seems different cities are different. Street pastors - great idea - but made me cringe. Yes I found it hard to walk back in my 6 inch stilettos having worn them all night as I love doing for nights out, but I didn't actually like them making a fuss of me or pointing out that I was walking a bit badly or offering me plastic flip flops -the walk of shame lol. But i know other girls for whom the street pastors were a massive help - they just couldn't walk in their shoes on way back and took them off and when the pastors weren't there they ended up with cut feet due to glass on the streets.
This is something that I've been wondering about for quite a while now, and I'm so so glad to have encountered this video
