I found this video on UA-cam of (assuming it was you) playing, and I thought "Yep, this is my next instrument." I'm thinking I'll be good at it since I'm so used to playing on my Guitar.
So I googled shakuhachi and saw pictures of people playing it while holding it vertically like it has a mouth piece at the tip. Does that mean that there are 2 ways to play the shakuhachi, or is it 2 different types of shakuhachi?

It shouldn't take longer than figuring out Haru No Umi, which took me a day. I prefer the sound of the Shakuhachi to that of the Xiao for this particular sound.
