It was his end credits music that really sealed the deal with me in regards to his music and the film. I have only seen two other films with his brilliant music; Proof (2004) and Flawless (2007). Why is he not more appreciated? Obviously, he has scored other films, but you probably never hear of them.

I remember the first time I saw this film. I wept deep from within my soul when this movie ended. And I weep to this day, as I do now, each time I see this film. It is worthy of Shakespeare, is all that i can say. Bravo to each and every performer, to every person involved in this masterpiece. TWO thumbs up and thanks for posting this..

The movie was based on at least three scripts that were stolen to make the movie. This last scene was actually a poem at the closing of one of the last acts in one of the scripts, an original play called "As You Might Like It". --So there's the origin of "Shakespeare In Love". Just plain thievery.

The playful pas-de-deux of despair versus inspiration, the subtlety of Viola's gentle head shake in disbelief of Will's childish cynicism, bluntly cutting every idea she puts forth... but her strength as a muse is far too powerful; she has total faith in his gift and even he cannot resist such confidence from the woman he loves: declaring '"... 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴!"' as the delicate strings and minor keys of 'The End' begin to play with trepidation, she says goodbye as he finds himself transported into the story unfolding - one that will preserve his love forever as he makes her immortal.

@@franklesher4459 I respectfully disagree. While technically impressive, I found SAVING PRIVATE RYAN to have narrative momentum issues (starts out strong then gradually peter out after that) and I also found it to blatantly tell the viewers to cry at particular scenes too. I would even go as far as to say that I don't think Spielberg deserved the Director win for that either (Peter Weir for THE TRUMAN SHOW would've been my choice). I found SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE to be much more narratively cohesive.

Shakespere in Love is a brilliant film. There are people we love and always shall love, even in death and not together no more, they are those who inspire and love us. 2:33 So sad. The music makes it so emotional and heartbreaking. Although their story ended - the story goes on. I say this as a message of hope to everybody out there. Love, lost and found/eternal and forever/and beyond after the end. Love shall go on forever. Will and Viola = F o r e v e r
