Great job ! The sets and lighting are absolutely amazing ! Love the color and snow effects. And i REALLY some of the shots, such as the outside of knapford. :) Hope you've had a great year !
Thank you! I was very happy with the lighting of my nighttime shots here too, because in past I definitely haven't been the best at it. Hope you had a wonderful year yourself!
A great job on the remake Roman. I absolutely love this episode definitely your best. Although I realized a little goof that just made me laugh honestly but 7:04 it says the second slip coach was released but Connor is still pulling two coaches when the third one stops. Again I found that kind of funny honestly. Either way I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year man, can't wait to see what you have in store for next year.
Thank you Useful! I actually had no clue I did that until you mentioned it, damn. That is pretty funny though, I can't count hahaha. Hope you have a wonderful new year dude!
Roman you killed it!! This was a really cool one to see you tackle; there's just something so cool about those aerial shots of the engines plowing snow. The one where all the engines depart Knapford, and the ones of Edward and Henry plowing together really stand out, they're just such eye candy. There were some challenging shots in here! Getting the snow to move the way you wanted it to must have been difficult; Hiro blasting through that snow mound came out really well, and I LOVE the POV shot of him plowing through. Your camera work is so steady, it even shows in little ways, like that small pan from Thomas to Diesel at Knapford. I also adore the Knapford station lights, they look so natural, like they're built in. Awesome to see that bridge finally make it into something. You know of course that I built it for you to enjoy, onscreen or not, so I never expected you to use it right away. But I figured it'd come in clutch one day! I love how you gave it the Tidmouth Sheds treatment and extended the table, that far off view is SO good. Beautiful work all around!
The Tidmouth Sheds treatment does wonders to any set! I've actually started to do that to a lot of my sets, and while it's a pain to film, it definitely pays off!! But of course you know I appreciate that Vicarstown Bridge so much, and I'm super glad I was able to finally use it! (Hopefully it won't be the only time). The shot of Edward and Henry plowing was super tough too. I had my mom pull them while I controlled Harold, but it took so many takes and even the final shot I used I wish could be a little better. But I'll take what I can get. I appreciate the comment about my camera work too, because I can't lie, I feel the exact opposite about it sometimes! Thank you so much Lemmy!!
Dude that Edward Henry shot looked flawless, but I can totally see why that would have taken forever haha. Good on your mom for coming in clutch. You're so welcome, you killed it!@@RomansTWREmpire
Roman this was amazing, I'm so glad you were able to finish it for the holiday season!! You always kill the game with snow remakes, but this was really something. Your camera work is always amazing, and you're always able to nail difficult camera shots and sets!
My favorite Christmas episode done with justice. I loved the detail of Hiro actually approaching Emily in that overhead shot
I'm glad you liked that! I didn't really appreciate I did that myself until editing, but it's very satisfying for sure.
One of the best cgi episodes and w remake
Thank you so much!
Top tier man, some of your best work yet!
Thank you Trevor 🥹 it means a lot bro!
This video was definitely worth the wait! One of the best remakes I've ever seen
