THE LEGENDARY BATTLE OF VALGUERO BEGINS! Our story follows Goliath, an elderly Brachiosaur, as he protects his kingdom from the ravenous carnivores of the ark. But two Acrocanthosaurs, Yellowjacket and Ember, threaten his reign. Will Goliath drive off these massive predators? Watch and find out!

This episode is beautiful because a gentle giant died protecting his kingdom from two savage predators. Now another gentle giant will carry on his legacy. As Rafiki said in The Lion King (both versions), “You see, he lives in you”.
Too bad that new gentle giant does no damage in the game.

You can feel that she knew they were coming,and they were coming for her,not for the kingdom. It was actually inevitable that she'd fall and all of the involved knew it. For me,it is more like the end of her cycle,just like everyone else,there is a beginning and an end for everything and everyone

I love how the Brachio was painted as this sort of mighty guardian figure in this. Such a powerful story even though it's told wordlessly.
It's just like how whales protect seals, sunfish, humans, and others from predators.
This has to be the best Paleo ARK episode to date. It's emotional, dramatic, and beautiful. Well done to everyone involved, this is a masterpiece!

I was super excited for this episode, as my favorite dinosaur - Acrocanthosaurus atokensis - was featured in this episode! You never fail to disappoint me, Depths!
Not gonna lie, this was a great story, too. A sweet, elderly giant, who’s impact led a young Diplodocus to learn how to fight for itself. This especially teaches you how you can learn from your elders, as Goliath did here. Truly inspirational.

This is the best ark short film ever made, as it speaks to the viewers the same way a billion dollar franchise would do. It speaks in a way that tells a story of strength and bravery, but also of tremendous loss and sorrow.
UpFromTheDepths, you have done it again, now with more power and feeling behind every shot. You deserve every bit of credit you recieve, and more
I feel for both sides, the sauropods lost their king, and the lone acro lost its spouce.
But its still crazy to imagine that beasts as amazing as sauropods once existed, gives me goosebumps of joy every time
Why do i shed tears for a creature who is not even real, well done depths yall never cease to impress and make us emotionally invest ourselves in the characters

I only saw this on my recommended today. Never watched the other episodes, and just by watching this. Has made me love it.
Not sure if its intentional, but in Ark lore its been noted the dinosaurs are smarter then normal and it seems to reflect in the series as well(such as the rex mother sparring the humans after getting help from a Giga) hope to see more. Maybe a human befriending a young carnivore with being stranded in the middle of nowhere or something.
Maybe we see tht women that could understand the Dinos and made an army i forgot her name tho

Brachiosaurus is way too much bigger than diplodocus in ark, it's not that big difference, even diplo is longer but brachio taller. And brontosaurus is bigger than the Brachiosaurus in archeology. It's Argentosaurus(Titano)>bronto>brachio>diplo, but difference isn't even near huge as this.
@@hayabusaorlovina2761 it’s specifically Paleontology but yes. The size is exaggerated for effect but that is for practically all the dinosaurs of Ark. Also Titanosaurus is it’s own species and isn’t Argentinasaurus, to my knowledge. Those three Jurassic Sauropods are about the same body size actually if you don’t count their tails and necks. Argentinasaurus definitely dwarfed them all but their were Brachiosaur cousins that got close to its size.

Amazing art work, the story is written beautifully and it has a other outcome with both sides winning. Cool to see the legacy of Goliath carry on after his death, I hope he isn’t actually dead^^ u gotta revive the brachio cmon already depths

I think it would be more effective if he stayed dead. That, and those trex lookin things probably were in it to eat it so even if it was a fake death he would be dead anyways
I have been crying for 30 minutes. It is very beautiful. The final with the "child" he helped carrying his legacy is too motivacional and sad, but also beautiful

This is one of the most beautiful and saddest episode I have ever seen this big and mass dinosaur protecting other dinosaurs and then it dies at the ending of the episode

Once again a beautifully crafted story! Just love the feeling of might with Goliath and how he defends other lesser herbivores from predators and that fight scene, I gotta say it’s very touching and you can just feel the pain of wanting to help him but you just can’t do anything and feel this sense of helplessness and it was so sad to see Goliath meet his end with him being knocked over by the surviving acro and just the slow build up to see the acro bite down to the camera was just heart wrenching. Great work with that!👍 So sad to see Goliath die but might I say that seeing the little diplo he saved, when I saw him rear up on his hind legs at the end I knew he was gonna be his legacy and I figured a good name for him would be Titan the diplodocus!

The best here is the fact that you can feel Goliath's strongest feeling throughout the hole episode "this is it,today we are going to end this and let fate come" it is just awesome how well it is done,you know along side her that she'll die from the beginning,but she doesn't hesitate for once! As for the acros,these brutes came just for this prey, gained and lost. Finally,this video made so many characters that will return that we have developed dinos for 10 episodes and more!

It's so beautiful and kind that the brachio is trying to help these herbivores man
This episode is nothing short of poetic. The use of the Acrocanthosaurus, the “Sauropod Butchers,” as the main villains is genius. The Brachiosaurus actually could have inspired other dinosaurs outside of the Diplodocus.
When the Arco went "Rawr" and the brachi said Murrrrrr" I felt that

This story is beautiful, with Goliath losing his life battling Yellowjacket and Ember, killing Ember in the process.
HOWEVER, I'ma make myself cry even more. When looking at it from a natural perspective, despite Yellowjacket being a villian in this story, we also have to consider that he is an animal, and from his perspective, he was just trying to find food, and unfortunately, he lost his mate (Ember) in the process.
While this is already a sad story on its own, it gets even sadder when looking at it from both perspectives.

This truly is a beautiful, well written and well recorded video. I enjoyed it more then lots of other films and unlike in other films the scary or tense scenes did fill me with adrenaline. The ending was well thought through and I found it very well rounded. Keep up the Fabulous work!
