It really is great stuff. It can be tough enough to find here in Portugal, so I know what you mean. Hopefully, there's an online retailer that will have a good supply. If you find a good source in Canada, let me know I'd love to share the info. In the near future I hope to start adding information from the producers about how to get a hold of their products in North America.
Thanks, the Mrs. and I have been curious about white ports for some time and didn't know where to go for a tasting. I've made a note of this for our next trip to Porto.
White ports are probably the most eye opening discovery I've had while learning about port. And that's especially true if you are a bourbon or scotch drinker. It's all about the magic of aging in small oak barrels. And Lado is always a great choice. Maria has since moved on to an opportunity with a port manufacturer, but I'm sure anyone at Lado will be happy to help you. They have a second location now near Clerigos.
Have you tried white port? And if so, what's your favorite?
Just discovered it in Lisbon and in love. Fonseca is all we can get here in Ontario so we make do.

Love white Ports. Actually drinking a white 30 year old from Casa Santa Eufemia while watching this.
Love Santa Eufemia. Great wines. Thanks for watching. Any ideas for future videos?
